Chances of not passing the first round will be greatly increased with JVG.

McHale isn't stupid.... but beyond that, do you really think that Morey would hire a moron as a head coach? Look at Hinke, Rosas and the rest of the front office..... then look at the assistant coaches, Finch, Bickerstaff, Sampson.... all very bright.

The Rockets head coach is much like the Heat head coach.... it is a group effort. McHale is excellent at delegating and Finch, Sampson, Bickerstaff and Morey all play a huge part in the plays the Rockets run and how adjustments are made. Is McHale an offensive genius like Adelman or Popovich? No... but unlike Adelman he will listen to Finch or Bickerstaff.

If the Rockets win the title it won't be because of McHale.... if the Rockets lose the title, it won't be because of McHale.

JVG doesn't just say silly stuff to get attention, he knows what he is talking about.

Yeah, I've brushed that theory off in the past, but he still lives in Houston, and maybe he's raising expectations to remove any wiggle room for McHale.

    Several things:

    - Did anyone else notice that cool feature of their audio player where the timeline is marked with some of the words people are saying at that time stamp? That is really cool.

-I love the fact that he went on Ric Bucher's show (a notorious Rocket hater) and laid this prediction down. Take that Bucher.

-I love and miss the neurotic, mildly insane and defensive minded coaching of JVG. JVG will always be my favorite coach.

It would only be news if JVG didn't pick the Rockets to win it all.

Ric Bucher cannot process positive comments about the Houston Rockets.

Awesome. Now all we need to is convince David Stern to convince the referees to fix the finals for us.

JVG was not fired by the rockets, he just did not get a renew contact.

defending/putting pressure on the point is something that's not done enough in this league. I've always thought it's a very obvious thing to do, especially in transition. I'm baffled when i see a PG take it coast to coast and no one bothers to even try to re-direct him.

In the half court, it's a great way to rush their offense.
