No one got demoted: Beverley got promoted. Turn that frown upside down, Buddy!

Now consider that Beverley was actually the starting point guard at the end of last season.

We know who says that but you are the one that brought it up. If you have had enough of that crap, why bring it up?

Get off the board, all you really care about is the glory of one player, and as you said yourself not a rockets fan... site is called clutchfans for a reason.

Most people who think Lin being sixth man is a good idea aren't saying Bev is better than Lin overall. Most of us think this is best for both Lin and the team overall I think Lin's numbers will be better than last year and his usage rate, you should actually be happy with this if you follow Lin! If he is a starter he will not have the ball in his hands enough to be effective.

    ROX management and Morey:

Phase 1: Let's put Lin in a position to maximize his potential and increase his market value or we'll be stuck with his contract. We need as much cap flexibility as possible to get our third star.

Phase 2: We also need to start Asik so his market value doesn't plummet. Asik and Lin can hopefully be packaged together. That would be ideal.

Phase 3: Get that 3rd star. Lamarcus? Love?

    Phase 4: Win multiple championships.

    Wait there Clutch...

Didn't all these guys said Beverley didn't EARN it. It's only a matter of "fit"?

    How quick the world changes....

    Not mutually exclusive.

You can both be performing well and be a better fit.

Beverley earned it by being the better fit

Being a better fit implies that it was given, not necessarily earned. Bev's style of play (i.e., not demanding the ball) just happens to compliment Harden.

his defense, ball pressure, steals, rebounds, spot up threes, less turnovers, teardrops, etc. allowed for the starting five to get the most point differential against the opponents thus making him the better fit

I'm happy for how this completely fits with everyone. Jeremy gets to man the 2nd unit and that should suit him perfectly by being ball dominant.

They haven't play a single competitive game yet, so let's see if he really is a better fit.

No, Lin will not regain his starting spot, on this team. He is benched by design. If he excels in this role, he will stick with this role because the other pg cannot lead the 2nd unit.
