Lin got outplayed like Lowry got outplayed by Dragic. Is Dragic a better player than Lowry? No. Did Lowry deserve to lose his starting job after recovering from an illness? No. But Dragic did play fantastic for a stretch. And he's a fan favorite. And there were no LowryOFs. So that was okay.

You should demand a refund. Oh wait, it's free, just like this site, all because of the hard work of a few individuals, so show a little more class.

Not a similar comparison. For one, Dragic IS better than Lowry.

Secondly, coin played like crap in the playoffs last year and bev stepped up. Over the off season bev surpassed lin

It depends on how good the player is. Odom, Terry, Harden, Crawford, Smith, Tyreke (IIRC) - these guys will produce regardless of whether they start or not. Their place as 6th men is a matter of fit. Likewise, Beverley starting has more to do with fit than with individual production. The staff feels that Beverley fits well with the starting unit which is why he is starting at the moment. If Lin deserves to play 30 mpg, then he will. He has shown that he does deserve to do so.

The thing about Lin fans is that they do not realize that McHale is still experimenting with the lineups. If they bothered to read any coverage on the matter, they would have realized that McHale is using November and December to iron out the rotations.

Stop getting so riled up about who starts and who does not. This move is all about the team. Lin's salary has nothing to do with whether he starts or not. Circumstances change and I'm sure Lin himself recognizes that. If you guys don't like it, stop following the team. Simple.

The Lintroversy is finally being put to rest, and any lingering whines will be laughed away as the Rockets go on an early season tear.

Lin was playing 4th quartet garbage time, bev was not

The ONLY thing either PG EXCELS in is bev excelling at defense otherwise, neither player is particularly special at any one thing

    shakes head...

if he's testing his rotations and ironing it out wouldn't he start Lin first and go from there?

Why would he do that? Who cares if Lin makes $25m? Just go off preseason games and what you know about each player and adjust from there.

Bev "outplayed" Lin, when Lin was injured in playoffs.

That playoff thing had something to do with Lin's starting of 82 games.

Get your facts straight, then go spin whatever way you prefer.

On the other hand, McHale is going out of his way to say Lin and Bev are both starting caliber PGs, not bench players.

It is a remarkably good fit for Lin's talents, and gives him a chance to grow that he won't really have playing next to Harden. If he is going to live up to his potential, that is the place for him to do it. If he isn't, it will at least be good to know.

Ok lets start with your logic.. Lets "test and iron out the season" by benching Howard in the first game of the season or how bout Parsons? or maybe Harden? then we can go from there and test it out and slowly add them to the starting line.. It aint no experimenting its just shameless demoting.

Seems like the coach agrees with me, a guy who is a lot more knowledgable than yourself

Some of you LOFs seem to be forgetting that mcHale himself was a HOF 6th man himself

Are you seriously comparing a fringe starter/6th man to 2 top 10 nba players?

Go do yourself a favor and educate yourself
