Sadly, I'm just coming to the realization that many of you were already at, ha.

Starting to sour, jump off that Manziel wagon(as a prospect). Needed to take my blinders off sooner. ;)

I don't know if the dude's gonna hold up. (And I guess that's just the beginning. What he is, what do you think he'll become. Decision making, arm strength, height, so on and so forth that's already been talked about.)

Good game to look at QB prospects with Winston and Boyd on right now. Wish Winston was eligible this year.

As we move closer and these players are more "dissected", the QB class may have been overrated. Guess we'll see.

Take another look at Kevin Hogan. Mechanics, mechanics, mechanics.

yeah with the read option getting "figured out" and RGIII's flop this year, you could be seeing a shifting of priorities in the draft...

I'd love to get a QB, but you can't go in thinking that because it's a supposedly "deep" QB draft, that you HAVE to draft one. That's how you get guys like Jake Locker, Blaine Gabbert, and Christian Ponder. All well thought of college QBs who went in the top 12 in 2011.

Ponder and Locker had plenty of questions coming out, Ponder was a complete head scratcher where he was taken, probably a 2nd round talent. Locker was a guy who had undeniable talent but it never translated in college, the t*** ignored the results and drafted on what they thought he could be or was supposed to be. Gabbert was a product of a spread system if I'm not mistaken.

Also if I remember correctly that was the first year of the rookie pay scale, those teams took those players higher than they should have because they knew that a first round QB would no longer cost them an arm and a leg. Since then, teams have realized that taking a second or third round guy in the first because it is so much cheaper than it used to be still doesn't work when you're drafting Gabbert or Ponder or to a somewhat lesser extent Locker.

    DRAFT AARON MURRAY

Yea, we don't need any quarterback with the last name Carr. I will say it now and you can say you heard it here first. Aaron Murray is going to be a stud in the NFL and everyone seems to be sleeping one him. I think the Texans could and should pick him up in the second round regardless of how well Case Keenum plays the rest of the season. Listen to me people, AARON MURRAY WILL BE A FRANCHISE QUARTERBACK IN THE NFL!!!!!

    Aaron Murray

I think the Texans should target Aaron in the second round if his draft stock does not go up. I don't see us finishing above .500 so that should mean we will get a top 10 pick. I say use the first pick on a guy like Mike Evans, who I believe is the best wideout in this draft class hands down. Then in the second round, assuming Murray's stock does not rise, draft Aaron Murray. Take care of all defensive draft picks in the other rounds. If we can come away with those two, I will be a happy camper.

Can we retire the number 8 jersey for any and all future QBs in Houston?

Dude, I was thinking the exact same thing! From now on, whoever the quarterback is for the Houston Texans, they are not allowed to wear the #8. Make it a rule! Cant retire though, nothing has been "retire worthy" in that number.

Yea maybe a little overboard. But I was just watching some of his highlights compared to all of the other QB's who are allegedly better than him and just got fired up.

Yes. I tell people not to sleep on Murray. His stock is deflated right now due to all the injuries Georgia has had to deal with this season. Murray can ball.

I like Murray too but I think Kevin Hogan has the size to be durable behind our shoddy line. I hope Brennan Williams and DQ's rehab is going well...

Yes the line has been horrible ever since they let Eric Winston go. I think Quessenberry will emerge as Newton's replacement next season after he recovers from his injury

Who knows, Case Keenum may lead us to a 9-0 finish. Anything can happen
