Well said, the animosity was just astounding. But, one must acknowledge that, even though still not perfect, it's much much better now.
This week, it really is like every thread is the same conversation. : ) Just on a general Rockets point for one second, one thing I really like about this team is that so many of them had something to prove when they came here. And coming to Houston, they got better. Much better. Harden had something to prove. So did Lin and Asik. Beverley and even Parsons. And even Dwight (Superman) Howard, has a little bit to prove after last season. And one reason I think it has worked out that way is that they play and win as a team. One of the dorky Pacer's announcers calling the games in Asia, did say, accurately: they like to pass, they are looking to pass. They seemed kind of awed by the Rockets' offense. That's the thing. The Rockets are looking that scary good. It's a 82 game season. A lot can happen. Everyone will find their place, and will contribute. In all the back and forth, don't forget how exciting it is to be a fan of this team, at this point in its life. It's a pretty amazing moment.
Well, one more wake up & the Rockets season will officially be underway! With the addition of DW, great expectations abound even more than Charles Dickens could imagine! I'm gonna enjoy watching this team mesh together as one leading to a long run in the playoffs.....maybe even a SHIP! As a preamble to the Rockets 1st game, I'm gonna catch the Lakers/Clippers game. That otta be fun. Fasten your seatbelts Rockets fans, this is gonna be a hoot!
Exactly this! Just a couple of hours away now, I can`t wait. Go Rockets, let`s start somethine amazing tonight...
As a rockets fan, as long as the team wins, we don't really care who starts. But, you have to admit that starters are seen and treated differently than bench warmers. I will give you a little bit of taste here: 1. since Lin will not start tonight, we have this from CBS Sports. Look at the Lin picture (the pic. says it all) http://www.cbssports.com/nba/eye-on...als-patrick-beverley-to-start-over-jeremy-lin 2. as we all know, nba.com give the first five position indicators like g (for guard) etc. They will not give any hint to bench players for their positions. In this regard, Lin is a true team player. He wanted to start, but will accept what is good for the team, and what coaches tell him to do for the good of the team.
