I would love to know the offer DirecTv had on the table...and imagine how much lower it would be right now
I grew up with a ridiculous story surviving a bout with hepatitis A that the doctors at Texas Children's Hospital said I had no shot to survive..bleeding internally and pretty much bled out...refused to put me in intensive care because they wanted me to be with my parents in my last hour. Somehow made it out of it. I was told from the time I was a little kid that I'd likely never be able to drink, so I didn't touch alcohol till I was 21 when a doctor said it wasn't a problem. It's not a big deal either way, I promise. I enjoy a beer with friends. But I enjoy friends a lot more than beer.

The Astros are pathetic. <iframe style="display: none;" allowtransparency="true" id="rufous-sandbox" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe>

on the field right now? yes! but i don't know what the offer was from DirecTV in April. I also have no idea how likely other providers were to follow suit. I have Uverse...DirecTV picking it up means nothing to me, personally.
that's funny, because in sworn deposition testimony stipulated to by all the parties, none of the filing creditors were owed jack diddley damn at the time the petition was filed.
Very true. DirecTV probably low balled them and they probably had too knowing they would have to pass that onto their customers.
It should because it would have represented progress toward breaking the stalemate. People might not want to switch from UVerse to Comcast but they might switch to DirecTv. I would have.
They weren't lowballed. At least, not in the sense of the word that they were offered something ridiculously low compared to their value.
Agreed. This is where the domino effect theory comes from. It's one thing when only one provider in town (Comcast) has the Rockets/Astros, but once it becomes a "Hey, it's not that NOBODY offers them, it's that MY provider doesn't offer them!" things start to look a wee bit different.
You know the figures don't you? What justifies their value though? I would expect DirecTV to offer a low figure based on the fact that their value is at an all time low given the situation. OR is this based off of their "profits"?

No I don't know precise figures. I just have a little bit of extra information. I don't want to mislead anyone into thinking that I have all the facts here any my information is biased.
