Can't wait. Keenum in Prime Time in a sea of Red. Should remind him of his college days. Hopefully we can get this win.
Crowd is going to be 2011 Atlanta game electric. Colts are a rough matchup for the Texans (perhaps less so without Wayne), but if they can ride the emotion and get this one... I could legitimately see the Texans making it to 6-5 and getting back into things. My prediction: Spoiler
Pretty much do or die for the season right here. Add in the local flavors with the Luck (golden boy QB) vs. Keenum (scrappy underdog) storyline in a Houston backdrop on national TV and my goodness, this has the potential to be one for the ages.
make or break really. Oline has to protect. They've been pretty bad all season with handling the blitz, no matter who was the QB. Run game needs to get going. Defense obviously has to play better like they did in the KC game. Still need to limit penalties. Win the t/o battle.
Exactly. Playoffs or Top 8 draft pick. Logically I don't think we have much of a chance at getting to the Super Bowl, so I'm leaning towards drafting a QB (or QBs) with Franchise/Elite potential. Getting a new coach would also be a bonus. Clean house except for Wade if he'll stay.
Yep. This game is basically the decision maker. Win and try hardest to make a run at the playoffs. Lose and you tank. I'm also leaning towards tanking though, but if Keenum does have something to show everyone, this has to be the game for him to do it. National TV.
As much as I hate the "tank" mentality...I, too, feel the Texans are in a "win-out or lose-out" point. Mediocrity (the true legacy of this franchise) prevents true growth. I fear the defense letting the team down in this one. Cushing is a tough loss to overcome.
I think the Cushing thing depends on how much they split between Trent and Dammit Donald. Trent pretty much gets himself tackled before he hits the second level.
I'm excited to see the crowd behind the kid.... not so excited @ out ILB and RB situations. Although I thought I read that Tate said he'll play. The crowd would be insane if we had won in KC.
