Jeremy Lin says he's OK with being Rockets' 6th Man

Lin's going to be tough to move. There's a leaguewide glut of quality pg's, and the market for a $20 million reserve is just not there.

Of course the nba's not fair, but if lin is unwilling to speak up and insist on minutes or a starting role, this is what he can expect for the rest of his career.

 

Lin is more of a combo guard, and $10m/yr is pretty reasonable for a top 15 pg/top 10 sg. Obviously Asik is much easier to move, but Lin can be moved as well imo.

 

That's what good Christians do. Slap you on one side. Turn your head so that they can slap your other side.

All he has to put up is like 14/6 on 45% to be a top 3 6th man candidate. If Rockets win 55 games or more, he'll have an excellent chance.

Lin's confidence is terrible with the first unit. This is good. He'll probably begin to thrive 15 games into the season.

 

I love Bev but his D is overated. In the end if you look at the D efficiency him and Lin are about at the same level. Benching Lin has nothing to do with helping out 2nd unit, and has little to do with Bev's D. Simply because coach wants to put ball in Harden's hand more, and he just doesn't like uncertianty aka Linsanity in his starting line-ups.

As a fan I dont mind at all, it's even interesting. But you've got be joking yourself if you believe Lin is fine with it, he's no Manu, who was an established allstar. Lin is dying to prove himself at this point of his career. Maybe after 5 yr he'd buy that but not now.

Lin wont be averaging more than 22 mins a game, Coach would still want Bev to finish, Lin is pretty much gone some time the next season.

 

Every 6th man of the year over the past 6 seasons have played at least on average of 31 minutes/game. You think Lin will play 31-34 minutes on average with McHale as his coach?! He only played 32 minutes last year as a starter. Some games, I'm sure he'll play 20 minutes. You think some games, he'll play 40 minutes? I seriously doubt that.

Just trade him already. I really hope the TV station owners and fans at Taiwan and China stage a boycott of Rockets games and Toyota Center ads demanding that he get traded to a team that will let him play PG.

he will be harder to move once you put him from being a full time starter to a 6th man role... this will put a huge dent in his overall value... once you put him in the bench, you can only trade him as a filler or to another bench player... unless he goes all linsanity mode (with huge sample size, not just 2-3 games) while on the bench which is very hard to do....

 

Trade Lin back to GSW for Steph Curry and Klay Thompson

Lin will not be trade lol,I am a Lin fan myself but this is really getting annoying...

I think Les prefers winning over Chinese\Taiwanese money...

Well, it's good to know now at least. I'm cancelling my trips to Portland for the Rockets away games.

 

CP3 is the best player on his team. Williams is an all-star. Lin is an above average PG.
