Nice write up about seperating Dwight's off the court behavior from his on the court accomplishments: http://hoopspeak.com/2013/10/dwight-howard-is-still-my-favorite/
Yep, lots of people get caught up in media reports about Dwights indecision or immaturity, which rubs some fans the wrong way, but it shouldn't color their impressions of what he is capable of doing on the court when healthy.
Dwight's biological clock is ticking. He is 27 and has a lot of miles on his body. He knows this is now his best chance to win a championship. He's going to have a huge season. I hope Harden does the right thing and will feed the big man to make him happy. If Dwight wins MVP this team has a decent chance to win a championship. If Harden wins MVP, then I don't see them making it out of the west.
I'd love to see Dwight as the first offensive option of this team. But I think It will be ok if the team plays him more on the defensive end as long as it can bring more wins.
If either one is MVP over Lebron, Rose, Paul and everyone else we have a great chance of winning regardless of whether it is Harden or Howard who wins it.
This x100. It's sickening. You can tell all they do is watch espn and can't form there own opinion. Can't separate rumors from facts. Look at the dumbasses getting offended by the nicknames he gave.
Honestly, 2009 Dwight Howard was the second best player behind LeBron James. Even now, a healthy, happy, and motivated Howard is probably LeBron's worst nightmare.
As a matter of fact, Dwight became my favorite rocket. Post game, loves to troll, lift weights, baby mama drama, reminds me of me.
Yeah, but it's still funny that nationally the reason most seem to think Dwight won't succeed has more to do with his personality and behavior than his actual ability. He may not be back to in his prime Orlando Howard at this point, but he is still going to draw a lot of defensive attention, and is much more likely to catch all the passes that Asik often fumbled on pick and rolls and dump off passes.
Dwight Howard has always been my favourite non Rocket player, it has always been my dream to have him on our team...dreams come true baby!
I'm with this guy. Except last season. I despise the Lakers. My buddies all asked me would I still support him while he was in LA and I didn't. How sweet it is now though. All we have to do now is get Paul George and we'll have my 3 favorite players on my favorite team. In Morey I trust
