they did fine without him last year. I think adding scola was enough to push them over the top

Really? You think Scola would give them much needed help against Miami? I don't.

They need Granger to play well and show that he can stay healthly so that they can ship him somewhere (where scoring is needed) to get a quality pg. Period.

damn, all he is asked to do is spot up and shoot threes and he still gets hurt. I realize it's just precautionary but still.

They did great without Granger, but I feel like that was more due to Hibbert's development and George's ascension into stardom.

I believe in PG, but i'm not so comfortable with Hibbert. Also, Scola is a nice addition but he looked mediocre in PHX and his reputation comes from being a very good player on a bad team.

All Scola has to be is a competent backup to David West instead of a trainwreck.

Yeah, the Pacers biggest problem was their bench was complete trash. Scola, Copeland, maybe Granger should help their offense not grind to a halt without the starting unit on the floor.

Wonder if a Granger/Gordon swap would work well for both parties?

He should be traded to Portland. Injuries thrive there.

It's been discussed before. Gordon seems to be healthy again after two injury-plagued seasons, so New Orleans may not be so quick to trade him unless they're out of it at the trading deadline and want to get his contract off the books. In any case, I don't see Granger staying in Indianapolis beyond this season. He's never been a particularly good defender, and the Pacers receive enough scoring from their starters. As others have suggested, they would benefit from a better PG than George Hill, who's probably better suited for a backup role.

If Granger is playing at a high level, I could see them making it to the finals this year. Scilla and Granger are big pieces to their success. Their PGs suck though.

#1 It has started.... Granger is hurt AGAIN... the Pacers will never depend on him again.

#2 Roy Hibbert slept through the regular season, he was down right TERRIBLE offensively but no one remembers because Hibbert stepped it up in the post season.

I hope Granger turns out fine. He can really be big for them coming off the bench. Him and Scola should be enough for Indy to take Miami finally.
