This is not similar at all. The NFL draft is full of awesome talent from anywhere in the first two rounds. The third round isn't too shabby either.

If only our GM was good at drafting that talent beyond round 1...

The bad thing is that I think that it what's going to happen. Not the Keenum being average part, but us winning 7-9 games. Looking at the schedule it is very possible to go 8-8 even with how bad we have looked. Then we will be picking around the 12-18 pick.....sigh

Yes, I do believe that he meant NFL caliber QB.

I was a Schaub supporter but his interviews and demeanor the past few weeks have made me kinda hate him.

Does Case also get Matt's weekly radio duties? Does Case get to say "This is my football team. I'm the starting QB of this team." :p

no one's getting carried away, dude. schaub has been garbage going back to last year. this isn't just some flukey stretch a 32 yr old 8 year veteran qb should go through.

take your posts to the I LOVE SCHAUB board.

Yes. I heard him on 610 (recording).

He said what you'd expect though.

    (paraphrase)

I'm disappointed obviously. I want to be out there. At the same time I realize I'm part of the reason we are where we are. Still, as a competitor it's obviously frustrating.

Schaub trying to say all the right things but deep down he may be relieved he doesn't have to go back. The fact is when the going got tough, Schaub was anything but a competitor. He just didn't have what it took physically or mentally and it really started to show in second half of last year and all this year. Texans teammates have already been saying there's something different about Keenum. Schaub and to an extent Yates just looked defeated when they would step out there on the field, that's disheartening to a team. Even Kubes had to admit the Texans had a heart beat last week for the first time in a while, which means he thought the team was dead under Schaub. That's not a good endorsement of Schaub, even from his boy Kubiak.
