The chiefs have an extraordinary defense and Case sliced them up. how can anyone not be excited . he is 25 and knows the ins and outs of the offense as if he had been here 10 years. Fix the line and get more LBs and a defensive back or two. All can be done in one off season.

Exactly. Not comparing him to Wilson or Kapernick but the truth is that the only way they can fill out their rosters with great talent is beacuse both of them make under a Million bucks if I am not mistaken. Bring in a ton of talent around a decently priced QB and you might have a chance.

It seems kind of weird that they come out today and say schaub has torn ligaments. They didn't know his ligaments were torn during the bye week? I think it's bs. Schaub is fine but kubiak doesn't want to answer questions about benching schaub.

Kubiak stated that he would have started Keenum even if Schaub was 100%. The report was leaked just to help Schaub save face.

If Keenum practices with the first team that will be reported.

You can't really hide it unless they are splitting snaps.

First home game as a starter. Even if you're not buying into the Keenum hype, you gotta admit....this is exciting.

If for no other reason than it's just somethihg DIFFERENT.

This is a decision Kubiak had to make. No way, healthy or not, he could start Schaub at this point, especially after the promise Keenum showed against a tough defense. It should be Keenum's job for the rest of the season. Barring anymore injuries, I hope Schaub has played his last game in Houston.

I want Case as the starter, but it's too early to say Schaub is done here. Teams will adjust to Case, as there is more tape on him. Case has to put up more than one good outing and withstand the adjustments that are coming. Otherwise, if he goes out there and makes mistakes, and we continue to lose, the momentum can just as easily change back in Schaub's favor. The media and fans will start to say it was too good to be true and we need the experienced QB back.

Some good points, but Schaub is a dead end and I just want them to move on from him. Even if Keenum starts to struggle, let him work it out, draft one of the good OBs in the upcoming draft and let Keenum and drafted OB battle it out for starting job next year.

I was very excited about the way Case played against the Chiefs too but watching Jason Campbell look halfway competent against the Chiefs yesterday is making me temper my expectations a bit.

Really hope he is able to get a couple of good early drives in on Sunday that way he can get rolling and shake off the bad ending to the Chiefs game.

I tend to agree. Case is certainly providing a little excitement and optimism but I think people are getting a little carried away. Even though schaub had a terrible 3 game stretch, people are going a little overboard with writing him off completely. It's a sad state since texans almost have to go with Case because of the schaub backlash.

Best case scenario: He performs well and is a NBA playoff-caliber QB

Worst case: We loose another game and get closer to a high pick.

Both are win-win in our situation.

^ Last three posts are comparisons between Case and Schaub.

I think teams have figured out how to deal with our offense... our passing, at least.

I'd pick Case to run into no man's land instead of Schaub to make a bad pass.

I think Case is promising, but I don't think he is good enough to lead a team to the NBA Playoffs.

Not as long as Kubiak is calling the plays.

    1. Think u meant NFL..lol
    2. Our worst case scenario is - if Keenum is a average. Wins against average teams, and loses against good teams. That is a recipe for another 7-9 or 8-8 season for your hometown Texans. And that is the worst situation to be in. similar to the Rockets being stuck in the land of mediocrity with the #14 pick...

I agree that Case is no sure thing & Schaub might get another start or two before the season is over. Regarding next season, Schaub is 100% gone. No if's and's or but's about it.
