He still lives in Houston and from what I heard, his family loves it in Houston.

As I understand it, the guy just really grew to like Houston, enjoyed his time with the organization, and respected the people he worked with here.

    He rules. :)

He sure does. I wish he would call Rocket's home games when he was not calling national games, sort of the way Bill Walton used to do for the Clippers back when he was still one of the main national broadcasters.

Does this mean they predict 3rd seed in the West for Houston? I believe it is our ceiling this year, would be great if that happened. 1-3 seeds in the west means almost automatic 2nd round, couse teams below top 6 have quite some gap.
Also Clippers... No way they're winning west.

Agree about the Clippers being overrated. If you are referring to DeAndre "cant stay in the game in the 4th quarter" Jordan as part of your "Big 3" than I doubt how far that team will go.

Dont get me wrong.... CP3 alone gets this team in the playoffs, and any development at all from Blake and DeAndre makes them a threat, but those guys haven't proven much to me yet that they can take those types of leaps in their game, and the bench for this team I think is actually worse despite one decent signing in JJ Reddick.

    My personal ranking would be-

    1. Miami
    2. Spurs
    3. Bulls
    4. Clippers
    5. Indiana
    6. Houston
    7. OKC (surprisingly)

and I think Houston could jump up as high as #4 here in just a week or two of actual real games if what we saw from them in preseason translates.

I want to beat the clippers those first 2 games sooo bad, we play them on 11/4 & 11/9 if we beat them those 2 games expect the media to go crazy and the city houston to go from big texans fans to start worrying more about the rockets quickly.

I agree with the list. The thing about the Clippers to me is that they're super scary. Only because Doc Rivers is the head coach though. I think he's gonna make those guys play a whole lot better.

JVG is saying that because he knows SVG will be our coach soon.

No Westbrook. Perkins still starts at center. You lost your 3rd best scorer/6 man. Didn't replace him. Reggie Jackson is your third best player. Sorry, but unless they make a trade, this teams window has closed.

After #12 (Wolves) - I start to fall asleep. The NBA sucks this year.

When is it not like that? When was the last time both conferences went 8 deep? 6 deep in each conference is about where it always ends when it comes to intriguing teams that have a legitimate chance at making noise. I'd say this year, the West actually catches my attention towards the bottom because of morbid curiosity for teams like the Lakers and Mavericks.
