You should have made the results public. This isn't an opinion poll, this is an IQ test.

We've already had plenty of iq tests. Funny thing nobody is offering any explanation for their opinion yet.

Did you check with jtr before making this thread? He titled his the final DMo preseason thread. Maybe his was not final after all? :p

It looks like DMo will get spot duty only. D12 and Asik primary bigs with Casspi getting the rest of the PF minutes. At least at the beginning of the season.

    Dwight 32
    Asik 25-30 (depending on matchups)
    Casspi 25-30 (depending on matchups)
    Parsons 5-10 (depending on matchups)
DMo/TJones 0-10 (depending on how many games are decided early)

5-10. Because at this point Asik and Casspi look like better options at the 4.

I think he'll average 10-20 for the season, early in the year the Rockets will discover that Casspi isn't a PF and they'll have to adjust to that. By the end of the year DMo is probably an occasional starter.

I don't care for the poll options, OP. Motiejunas could average less than 20 minutes per game and still be in the regular rotation. Your poll is too arbitrary.

Depends how long he can stay out of foul trouble and if he can handle the physicality of the game. The game has gotten much less physical over the years,so I would venture to say between 5-15 minutes.

If this is an IQ test, 2 people have failed so far.

garbage time and boost here and there off bench for a few spot minutes.

He has Asik Casspi Parsons Howard (maybe even Smith)ahead of him on the depth chart.

I think we will blow out lots of teams and he will get to play significant garbage minutes. Let's hope he dominates that lesser talent.

Dmo had his chance in this preseason and he blew it. He was the shoe in starter at PF for us almost. He's just not there still. Doesnt mean he's not solid or a good player just that he's not ready just yet. If our team was othella my fella and chuck hayes then yeah I might see Dmo getting more time.

He could maybe flourish on a lottery team but I think ultimately for now he is just not ready. I think by next year this time he could either be something significant for us or another team. Just not sure who would trade for him but he;'s ahead of a lot of bigs on other teams. Just not on this team right now.

DMo didn't blow anything... he has played well this preseason. He has improved his offense and rebounding. He consistently scores and even his defense has improved. If only he could hit one third of his 3 pointers he would have a shot at getting some serious minutes. Even with Dmo's improvement I have to say Casspi is much better than I imagined and I thought he was much better than most on this board. Casspi is a better rebounder and even shot blocker than Dmo. Casspi has picked up the defense much quicker than I imagined and he is getting better every game. If Casspi can hit the open three at 40% DMo's minutes will be around 5-10. Too bad for DMo because he deserves and needs court time to improve. He will probably have to sign with someone else to get it.

hopefully he plays a lot against the bobcats which could mean he has blown out the game early

Dmo is our Darko in Detroit, or Brian Scalabrine in Chi. He is our Human Victory Cigar. "The White Hakeem" vs "The White Mamba", Dwight was onto something, actually.

I think this is spot on.

Hopefully for Dmo sake he can seize that moment of garbage time and show everyone. I think he can but I just think he is not there yet.

it would be kinda cool for us to roll him out victory style then see him light up 2nd units everynight. Sort of a novelty almost.

Parsons will also get time at PF, and Casspi will likely get closer to 20 minute at PF. And I'd expect Dwight to play more like 36 mpg.

It pretty much leaves less than 10 minutes for Jones or D-Mo. One of them will get time semi-regularly because of foul-trouble or ineffectiveness of a small lineup against certain teams, but I don't see either having a steady spot in the rotation at the beginning of the year.
