When was the last time you were this excited when the season started?

    Weirdly, I don't think I've ever been this excited.

    The year we got Artest was pretty big. The year we got Pippen, too.

    Unfortunately, both of those ended up being flops long term.


    I was really excited about the McGrady trade, but disappointed to lose Francis and Mobley, so I think this season takes the cake.

    (I can't really count the championship years either because there wasn't anything super significant at the beginning of the season to get us going. The euphoria was more of an end of season thing)

    Then Harden had that insane first two games...

    The Artest season as well, but last season rivaled my excitement. We didn't know what we were really going to get from Harden...I think most expected a guy who could score 20 ppg...but I don't think everyone expected him to be so complete of a player on the offensive end...

    Lol, I still have a VHS tape of most of a Rockets/Lakers game. "Akeem" gets ejected, and Lionel Hollins kills in the 4th qtr. Great game. Honestly all those guys looked like human pogo sticks and Kareem was still sheer murder.

    The NBA looks like that no more...

    Probably this for me too. I sincerely thought T-Mac/Artest/Yao would lead to a title.

    I was in a school computer lab when a friend called me and told me that we had acquired Artest, and had to leave because I could not contain my elation.

    Probably when we made the deal to pair McGrady with Yao. Getting Luis was exciting for me (an actual power forward that plays like a power forward!), since I was already a fan, but McGrady was a superstar.

    I'm always hyped when a season starts regardless of roster. Hell, I'm just hyped on the NBA in general every season.

    And Brooks and Landry... man that was a great team. Finally advancing to the second round, losing both our stars and still forcing a game 7 against the Lakers?

    If we could`ve stayed healthy and figure out how to beat the fronting of Yao, we would`ve been very serious contenders.

    Man, I hate injuries...

    I thought Artest would push us over the top.

    I believe what we have seen during the pre-season is that this team is already a TEAM. I expect 60 or so wins.

    Starting the first Championship season 15-0 was pretty significant, but I totally agree with you, this is the most exciting beginning yet!
