The Spurs are going back to the Finals? People forget how much had to go right for them to even get there. The Lakers lost Kobe a week before the playoffs. They just double teamed Dwight and Pau in a easy 4 gm sweep. Then they (barely) beat GSW in game 1 (GSW choked), Curry twists his ankle in game 3, and the rest his history. Then they swept the no-offense Grizzlies in the WCF. We all know they would've been playing OKC in not for the Westbrook injury. To top it off.....They had NINE Days!!! to prepare for the beat up Miami Heat and STILL lost in 7 games!!! Im just not sold on the Spurs coming out of the West
They're the most overrated / underrated team in the league. You just don't know what they're capable of. Blame it on Pop and coaching staff because they just wouldn't go away
Back to your post, the Lakers would've lost regardless of if they had Kome or not. The Warriors were too young which is why they choked and Memphis Grizzlies were out coached by Pop. I think the Spurs will be #1 out West this season until further notice. But the Rockets should overtake next season
They're not overrated or underrated, you know what you're going to get out of them. A solid team offense and defense, not flashy and will beat you with fundamentals
Lakers wouldve put up more of a fight. Kobe led Laker team with Dwight wouldn't have been swept. agree with you about the Warriors but Curry was giving them work before he got injured in gm 3. Grizz had ZERO 3pt shooting. Duncan had a career yr at age 37. Can he do it again at 38?? Doubt it
no Duncan will not have a career year which is why Pop is building the team around Parker, Green and Kwahi. I am still waiting for the Spurs to decline lmfao
Its going to happen soon. The only team that worries me tbh is OKC with Westbrook back. I feel like Lamb is an unknown. But Reggie Jackson is good. If they go with a Reggie/Russ lineup with KD at the 4.....thats gonna cause a lot of problems
The Spurs would have beat those WC teams anyway. They were simply better. And they were a miracle Ray Allen 3-pointer away from winning the championship. Who was picking the Spurs to win the series before the Finals?
I'm not too worried about OKC, their cheap owner closed their window to win already. They aren't even going to be as good this year as they were last year and everyone else got better.
But you're missing the point. They had an easier road to the finals, were the fresher team once they got there.....and STILL lost in 7. Now the West is tougher. Dont see them getting there this yr
They were 5 seconds and a missed Ray Allen 3 away from being the champs, so they earned that respect. Injuries are apart of the game, but they deserved to be in the finals last year, no doubt. Whenever you have Tim, Parker and Pop with the front office they have, they will be a factor just like the past 4 years many have counted them out.
probably because they get written off every year yet still manage to uh, you know, like, lose in 7 in the NBA FINALS. stuff like that makes folks assume ...
I hope so. We need to get home court over them. You wanna play a game 7 in OKC with Durant on the other team?? Not me
I think Jackson is good when he has the ball in his hand. I don't think he is going to be as good as Kevin Martin was for them last year. They need someone to create for others and OKC doesn't have that, especially with Westbrook out. I don't think Westbrook will the 100% till at least January. The spurs and clippers are the worries for the Rockets right now.
I think it's irrelevant, but I doubt OKC will be good enough to win home court with Westbrick out as long as he will be.
