From what I read, it's top-12 protected in 2014, top-10 protected in each year from 2015-2019, then unprotected in 2020.

If Okafor is bought out...he'll come here if we want him. I'm not worried about that. Frankly, I don't care. I think he's done anyways. I'd much rather prefer to have picked up Gortat through our MLE. I really feel the 5 that plays behind Dwight needs to be a legit 7 footer with length. Okafor is practically the same size as Dwight.

I am not interested at all in Okafor. He can't help us at the 4. Keep Asik.

    Wah...

    Wah...

    Wah...

Size doesnt mean everything, length matters, along with skill. Thus is why gms like Morey are better than the rest; they look past traditional stigmatisms...

Okeafor is plenty good enough to be backup for 15 minutes a night...

Gortat should do well for Washington. He brings a lot of polish to both offense and defense.

I know we have like 4 PGs right now. But I just read on NBATV's bottom line that the Wiz are waiving Kendall Marshall.

First of all why? And second of all who GAF let's claim him somehow. Lol.

I am guessing that maybe Utah will take a look at him.

I agree he is plenty good enough to be our backup 5 (in case O is traded).

The question is, is he going to be healthy enough?

His injury sounds bad.. like really bad. Maybe even career ending bad.

Will the Suns keep all 4 picks or try to trade up?

Is camby healthy enough? Is Dwight healthy enough. At 15 minutes he should be fine because he's not starting. If were actually trading asik, and it happens he has to be our to target for the exception.

Wizards really lucked out on this trade. Phoenix wants to tank this year and create more cap space. Washington had a big expiring contract and a first rounder to give.

Gortat is a great pick n' roll defender. Maybe not a shot blocker like Howard, but he plugs up the lane like Asik does. Plus he has a decent mid range jumper so he can fill in at the 4 sometimes.
I wish Morey made this move.

Man, such different philosophy. SVG wouldn't play Gortat and Dwight together at all and now we play Asik and Dwight.

Anyways, seems like Dragic is available.

How about Shannon Brown. I know when he played in LA he was a pretty decent back up.

Uh...can someone explain this to me, but the pick was 12th protected right? So why's everyone making a big deal out of it, PHX gets a 13th pick in a deep draft at best. Sure that might get someone decent but at 13th unless everyone messes up that won't be a star player.
