They play better with each other than with Harden because they actively seek to play off of each other.

If we only had Harden and not Lin how would the GARM look?

He is pretty close to being in the top 5.

You're assuming Dwight Howard doesn't play healthy, right? If he stays healthy, plays like his dominating Orlando days, Dwight will not only be a top 5 player, he will also own the DPOY.

so much hate in the GARM since 2011, is this the result of four years of mediocrity?

What is up with your weird infatuation with D-Mo and hate for T-Jones?

    Williams can't go the Dleauge.

Everyone with 3+ years NBA can't go any more

This Game Threads haven't been as enjoyable since Lin has been on the team. I love having him, but I hate his Lin only fans with a passion on this board. They're ruining this board

    Not exactly.

There are 2 types of players on D-League teams. D-League contract players and NBA contract players on assignment.

    1) If the Rockets cut Williams, he is placed on the waiver wire. If no NBA team picks him up, then he's no longer an NBA player. He is a free agent who can sign with any team in the NBA, overseas, or with a D-League team. If he signs a D-League contract, he gets much less money. Of the top of my head, I think it's something like $40K a year at the high end. It wouldn't matter how many years he's been in the NBA, because he wouldn't be an NBA player anymore.

    2) If the Rockets keep him on the team, using up a roster spot on him, and hold him with an NBA contract, then they can assign him to the D-League. Unlike the prior option, he would be an NBA player on assignment to the D-League, playing on an NBA contract and not a D-League contract. This means he gets paid more money (the NBA minimum salary contracts would be more than 10 times the D-League maximum salary contracts) and gets 1st class plane tickets instead of sitting in coach with the other D-League players. Players with 2 or less years in the NBA can be sent an unlimited number of times to the D-League on assignment by their NBA team. If they have 3 or more years of NBA experience, they can only be sent on assignment to the D-League if the Rockets obtain both the player's consent and the consent of the player's union. Lamar Odom spent a stint in the D-League to work out some kinks while he was with the Mavs a year or two ago, I think. And I think Amar'e Stoudemire played with a D-League team for a game or two within the last year to get his conditioning back after one of his numerous returns from injury. But you're correct that they can't send him to a D-League team on assignment without his permission if he has 3 or more years of NBA experience.

Can't believe Parsons shot only 2/7. Those two shots were spectacular!

I don't know, I usually go on the internet to kill time. I wouldn't know much about what each group entitles but thanks for the information jack.

You personally, meaning actually meeting real people outside of the internet, like actual real fans who goes to games at the Toyota Center?

Insecure, feeble & weak minded, and petty LOFs & trolls: "If Lin doesn't start it's a demotion and I don't want to watch the Rockets anymore"

Lin + Rockets Fans: "Whatever's best for the team. Lin playmaking & leading 2nd unit vs opp team's bench = Linsanity X 2!"

Russia? Seriously? Remember back in the day when people were calling Lin D-League material despite actual success in the NBA? Sample size, they said. Yet Beverley's Russia experience counts for you?

I guess according to your logic, Bruce Bowen was more talented than Ginobili, and Sefolosha was more talented than Harden. Jarret Jack, Jamal Crawford, and J.R. Smith all suck too, huh?

I think the team would run better with Lin starting most of the time and letting Beverley start in special situations. If the Beverley starts I will be ok with that it's just not what I think is best. I thrilled that both Lin and Beverley are playing better this year.

If you think that Lin or any other NBA player that is coming off of the bench doesn't think it's a demotion, then I really don't know what to tell you because they do.

At worst he is in the best or top 5 best defensive PG's in the league. Infact I think he is in the top 3. That's elite. It's not just me who thinks that but most NBA people to.

He plays pesky defense, but he isn't a smart defender. He fouls way too much.

He overplays now and then, but his straightup defense is at elite level.
