    I'm still confused by what legislation was going to restrict you from owning guns?

    Are you a criminal or have you been in a mental hospital at anytime? Would you have been flagged in a stricter background check?

    You can be in the Senate for a long time but be so far to one particular side that you never rise above your self-imposed ideological box and are not much more than the standard-bearer of "wing" politics. See: Sen. Bernie Sanders.

    Watching the CSPAN feed the other night during the vote while everyone was milling around on the senate floor waiting for results, all the other senators were chatting and laughing with each other. But no one wanted to be near Cruz. He just wandered around by himself looking at his watch.
