Wonder if The Walking Dead had anything to do with the Sophia boom.

Like everyone else... WOW on "Jennifer." What is that, six straight years of clean-shut out in every state!?

Also, I had no idea "Jacob" was ever quite as popular as this indicates, let alone that it is the current favorite. I have always run into a lot of Mikes and Daves, but not really a ton of Jakes.

I think that's the same reason for the spike in Jacobs as well.

Not really, the Jacob craze hit in 99, way before Twilight. I've never even known a Jacob, but I guess i will in the coming years.

And where's Chris at, I've known tons of Chris's and the name barely makes an appearance.

I too would like to know why the sudden Jennifer popularity, the name carried no states in 69, over half the states in 70, and then the entire country. That is far too great a change for a mere trend, there had to be a reason.

    Interesting map indeed.

Great point about Chris. I meant to mention that in my last post. I would have bet anything that it would have been featured prominently at some point.

Same here; I used to hate my name when I was younger because I wanted something more common. Now, I embrace it.

Weird to see so many Masons. I don't think I've ever met anybody by that name.

I would have never named my son Jayden if I had known it was as common as it is. My son's mother was throwing names at me left and right and I liked it. Should have done more research.

No going back now though haha
