Rockets will beat SA in any playoff series from here until the Spurs get a star player again. Rox have too much fire power to go along with the defense Howard adds.

Both squads played it like a preseason game. The Rockets are rotating starting PG's for crying out loud. We're also testing Howard and Asik on the floor at the same time.

Either way, once our star players get going, it will be too much for teams like SA, Memphis, LAC, GS, and Denver. The league belongs to three teams right now.....the Heat (of course), the Thunder (if healthy), and the Rockets. If I'm counting the East teams, I'd put the Pacers and Bulls with the Spurs, Grizz, etc..

And i thought that was obvious enough but..

Either way, it seems that all the preaseason vids of practice sessions, Lin was not their first 5 point guard also so i wouldn't be surprised with hesitance.

We have an awesome team on all counts and i'm looking forward to the season already.

Let's pull out some shooting stats after two of the commonly recognized Linsanity games in last season to support my claim

3 games immediately after the 38 points dropped on the Spurs
    WAS 4/8 (50%)
    BOS 2/6 (33.3%)
    TOR 3/9 (33.3%)

3 games immediately after the win against the Thunder
    BKN 4/11 (36.4%)
    WAS 2/9 (22.2%)
    MIL 4/11 (36.4%)

Wait, so you're aware he's been ill since the Magic game, and that he is currently battling a sinus infection that drags you with fatigue but wont cut him even a little slack? a little harsh. :p

LAC, you know damn well the healthy Jeremy of the first 3 games is the real one, no need to be dramatic when his performance drops while he is sick.

He'll be healthy again by the start of the season.
When he starts killing it again, dont come to me asking to borrow my LOF card

Here are the stats from Linsanity in New York:

    Game 24 --- 25/5/07
    Game 25 --- 28/2/08
    Game 26 --- 23/4/10
    Game 27 --- 38/4/07
    Game 28 --- 20/6/08
    Game 29 --- 27/2/11

You may need a new theory.

After that stretch, "the kid is gassed" appears in the Knicks forum almost all the time.

    James harden:
    ATL 14/19 (70%) - 45 pts
    POR 8/24 (33.3%)
    DEN 5/15 (33.3%)
    MEM 4/18 (22.2%)

Point is People will have fantastic games next games can be pathetic.. Happens in NBA all the time... its not because his high games are not sustainable, some people just need to be more consistent lol...

Lin was terrible inconsistent last year... that is well known...

1st season as a starter? coming of a serious injury ring any bells?

and WTH is an LOF card? some soft secret membership? LOL

I came here because I as a Lin Fan, then I have gotten to know the whole organization and the players... then started to love the Rockets as a whole... but that does not mean I'm any less of a Lin fan than I started...

some people are to mellow dramatic...

LOL, I didn't realize he was sick when I pulled out the stats. Perhaps Linsanity is bad for the respiratory system.

The conspiracy theorist in me is calling the flu a cover up for dead legs.
The heath advocates in me is thinking the overexertion impaired the immune system, thus allowing the flu virus to come out unchecked.
The LOF in me is hoping that Lin takes better care of himself because his dark circles are getting larger and larger.

we won, why can't you guys just be haooy for once, does every olayer have to score 100 pts, net 50 rbs and gather 20 assists just to satisfy you? are you not entertained?

No, some people just like to b**** about everything. Lin didn't have a bad game anyway that's just people wanting to run him down.

At the beginning of the game, facing the Spurs starters, Asik/Howard did not look good at all offensively. Howard passing to "Stone Hands" Asik resulting in two turnovers and there was no space for any dribble drive penetration from the guards. Seriously, the double on Howard was there about the time Howard received the ball. Off of Asik. Nice. That first quarter was BAD people. In the third quarter Asik/Howard did look better but hey, it is the preseason, the third quarter and my sister might have been able to hold her own out there.

D-Mo put up some impressive per 36 numbers last night. I have not seen many people clamoring for his head but I could have missed it. 7/3 in nine minutes is 28/12 in 36. Just a tad better than Smith.

Canaan? D-League at best. Cut may be more likely. Short, slow but I imagine Morey may let him slide just because he is a rookie.

Maybe he was gassed because he wasn't used to playing many minutes before Linsanity?

Games leading up to Linsanity breakout:

    Game 19 -- 00 minutes
    Game 20 -- 20 minutes
    Game 21 -- 06 minutes
    Game 22 -- 00 minutes
    Game 23 -- 07 minutes

Then you go into Linsanity, the games I pointed out. 36 minutes, 45 minutes, 36 minutes, 39 minutes, 39 minutes, 43 minutes.

    Big change.

Additionally, Lin is known to looked "gassed" often. Without necessarily actually being gassed. So what fans anecdotally said on a forum doesn't automatically mean much.

Later during Linsanity in New York, after the period I mentioned in the previous post:

    Game 31 -- 26/02/05, 40 minutes
    Game 32 -- 28/04/14, 46 minutes
    Game 33 -- 21/07/09, 36 minutes

Thus, the "gassed" Lin seemed to find a way through his supposed fatigue.

    Game 45 -- 19/07/06, 33 minutes
    Game 46 -- 18/03/10, 29 minutes
    Game 47 -- 18/05/04, 36 minutes

Part of what "gassed" Lin last year appears to be his own struggles with putting pressure on himself, which both he and McHale have discussed. So you might be misinterpreting mental fatigue with physical fatigue.

    And from the 2012-13 season:

    Game 66 -- 24/01/08, 38 minutes
    Game 67 -- 21/01/04, 35 minutes
    Game 68 -- 24/02/06, 30 minutes

With this evidence, I simply can't buy the "physical exhaustion" theory. Does Lin get tired because he plays fast? Yes. Does that make him unable to put up strong consecutive games? Apparently not.

Many young or inexperienced players are inconsistent. I would think it has more to do with that, Lin's inconsistent performances, than it having to do with supposed physical exhaustion.

Regardless of what any Knicks forum posters or other internet message board posters may feel.
