Lmao @ this article. Ridiculous! This is a WCF team easy. Howard is going to open up so many opportunities for everyone. He's going to embrace his role of defensive juggernaut, ragdolling most centers and then posterize them under the basket on offense.
Harden is the #1 sg in the nba and still hasn't even reached his prime. Parsons is a borderline allstar that does everything. PatBev should be our #1 pg for defensive and spot up shooting purposes. Plus he's still getting better overall. Lin should be 6th man. He can be the spark off the bench. Pf is the only question mark right now. As long as they're solid we should make a very deep run. Asik is a strong starting center playing backup solidifying the center spot. If we trade him it will be for a premium power forward. Its a win/win situation as far as that. Then there's our 3pt snipers casspi and garcia. They play their role and shoot down other teams dreams.
To top it off we are one of the youngest teams( if not youngest) in the nba. This team is going places other than down.

The assessment of Lin seems about right. But a lot of people are in for a shock when they see how quickly this team will gel.

In my opinion, he is dead wrong in A LOT of things he said. Especially when he said if he were Houston's gm/owner, he would trade Dwight Howard for Lamarcus Aldridge. I'm no homer, I've been critical of rockets players, especially on Harden. But this "scout" is ridiculous.

 

There is no ass tasting in preseason. Wait til they win something meaningful before you jinx the team.

 

Are you sure on this? Ask Royce the expert. He never tasted a regular season game.

Let me summarize this a little better for ppl with short attention spans:

Anonymous "Rival scout"

1. ROX are overrated and will not go far in the playoffs. Why?

A. Howard is inmature and lacks the motivation and the right coach like SVG. Mchale is too laid back.
B. ROX style of play is not fit for Howard (D12 = halfcourt vs. ROX= isos/fullcourt)
C. Defensive issues: Howard's defense has gone downhill/ Harden is a defensive liability/ Parsons can get abused defensively.
D. No clear cut #3 player. (Parsons success due to the system, Lin is just OK at everything and is not starter material for a good team. He will end up as the back up to the back up PG.)
E. Asik and Howard don't mesh well b/c they aren't great shooters and will cause the defense to zone up clogging the lane for our guards.

Unrelated to his premise:
He likes the following players: Bev, Brooks, Casspi, Garcia.
He would trade D12 for Aldridge.

 

I want that last Parsons Alley-oop to be successful.
