His front office let his best friend on the team and the heir to best SG on the planet slip away. And since his Finals loss to the Heat, his rival for #1 has added Ray Allen, his childhood best bud Beasley, and the guy drafted #1 ahead of him

I don't care how loyal Durant is, he's obsessed with being the best player on the planet. Meanwhile Lebron is chasing Jordan as the best player in history. He'll be taking below-market deals to assemble superteams, and making up the money via Nike, McDonalds, & Coke. At some point, Durant will have to join the arms race. Nobody will blame him. By then fans will have had 6/10-9/10 superteam champions or finalists in the preceding 10 years. Cheap owners are not sympathetic, he's not a hometown savior, and the team was stolen from Seattle anyway.

And I don't blame them one bit, because the media will blow anything they say out of proportion.

This is an excellent point, why should Durant care about loyalty when ownership yanked the team out of Seattle? If Durant bails, the Thunder don't deserve one ounce of pity.
