Why is McHale rotating starting PF? My understanding is McHale will roll with the twin towers until it's proven it doesn't work, maybe around Nov/Dec? Otherwise, if TT works and barring no Asik trade, our PF might be set.

Lin didnt seem to have as much energy tonight. Maybe he's still a little sick, but still played a decent game.

I'm not so concerned that Asik should start, but Asik definitely should not be traded away because he's "redundant." He is a huge plus.

This team is stacked man, we gonna win a lot of games this year just on the shoulders of Harden and Dwight.

Do we really want to back to trotting out Greg Smith and DMo/Jones as our interior defense? I saw enough of that last year.

The Rockets are going to be very, very good. Awesome bench. When the SA starting line up was in, hitting on all cylinders, tied the score, the Rockets cranked the engines and pulled away. It was beautiful thing.

Brewer isn't more ready to contribute than Jones/Dmo. He's purely a garbage time player right now, MAYBE with rare spot minutes as a defensive wing.

Asik is going to show the world that he's still a vital key to the Rockets success.

I'm guessing that during B2B & 3 in 4 stretches, we'll see the full 12 man roster play. We are that deep!

No offense to Rox23, but he misquoted McHale. He said he would likely be experimenting with different lineups into Nov/Dec, not that he'd be rotating starters at either the 1 or the 4.

I certainly don't. I'm just saying: there are a lot of posters who can't seem to think of anything more than "Twin Towers Pass/Fail?" and there's more to it than that. I want to play Asik as much as possible.

He's a vet who defends, rebounds well, moves without the ball, runs the floor, and he's not a bad passer either. He can't shoot, true, but he can be effective defensive wing option when we are playing small.

Yes, but if you listen to the whole interview he was referring to the 1 and 4 spots. Dwight and Harden are set, as is Parsons. Francisco Garcia probably won't start anytime soon and Harden probably will always start. McHale may have since changed his mind: he might like the Twin Towers lineup every game.

Asik isn't old by any stretch of the imagination. He's 27.

At least let the guy get his legs underneath him after being out for a few weeks before you declare this a failure.

Talk to me at the 1/4 mark of the season.

I don't want Howard in foul trouble too much so keeping your man in front of you is still a good thing.
