agree 100% exept i dont allow myself to be pissed about anything... its has no use...btw i wouldnt trade asik for cp3...his skills are too overlapping with harden.. asiks defense, 48minute rim protection and backup for dwight is more useful...rememeber also we need him for back to back games(very important)....and bev/lin combo of PGs is one of the best to compliment harden in nba...btw 3 superstars is too much of overlapping and cap hit... 2 superstars and great role players is more efficient...

I think McHale might be rethinking his whole 9-10 man rotation idea because as the games play out the wheat is getting more separated from the chaff. I think what you saw tonight is the 8-man playoff rotation and everyone else gets spot minutes

    1- Beverly
    2- Harden
    3- Parsons
    4- Asik
    5- Howard

    6- Lin
    7- Casspi
    8- Garcia

    9- Motiejunas
    10- Brooks
    11- Smith
    12- Jones
    13- Canaan

Smith and/or Jones might go to the D-League to be called up in case of injury (doubtful though). Rook goes to the D-League for sure, and two of Covington, Brewer, Camby battle it out for the last spot. If it's Covington, D-League, if it's one of the others, IR. Personally, I've come around on Brewer and can go either way on the last spot. I think we can find what either can give elsewhere later.

Jeremy played like hot doodoo today, I lost it when he missed that shot an inch from the rim. I was ready to shred my LOF card for good , thankfully just then the Spurs announcers said he's still battling a SINUS infection so I sighed in relief :p.
It makes sense why all his shots were super short and he just lacked so much energy in comparison to the first 3 games.
The good news is he'll surely be back to himself come Oct 31st.

The Houston Towers looked ..surprisingly great?
I thought the lane was gonna look more clogged up than Jeremy's sinuses with both of them starting but it didn't!

Also the Rockets playbook should really just consist of trying out every possibly PnR combination before attempting to have Dwight post up. It's an automatic turnover. [IMG]

Jeremy's been sick, dude, where've you been? He had the flu. The real Jeremy might be still back in Taiwan. Don't worry; we'll be seeing him again. When he's on his games he's a borderline all star.

I didn't watch the game and don't even feel excited cuz I knew it would work. I believed in twin towers since day one. That p***y stretch 4 never made it.

What did you win some sort of internet award?

How many lineups did the Rockets use last year???

    http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/HOU/2013/lineups/

Just cause McHale has played the same rotation 2 games in a row in the last week of October doesn't mean anything.

    A. Injuries WILL happen
    B. Trades can happen
    C. Players can go through cold streaks
    D. Young players can improve during the season

You haven't proven anything about D-Mo, Jones, Brook, etc. to anyone. You didn't know anything else that anyone on here didn't already know. The only thing that happened was the Rockets have gotten what looks like 2 very good surprises so far in the preseason that have given us hope. 1. The twin towers lineup looks like it has hope for 10 to 15 minutes a night, and 2. Casspi has been like a gift from the basketball gods so far.

The only reason why these guys you hate so much aren't in the current rotation is because of POSITIVE surprises. There is no dose of reality we need to get slapped in the face with.... just smiles and happy thoughts for once.

    Darn we are scary

Even with Lin under the weather and none of our PFs giving consistent production
Obviously ABrooks, Camby, and the sophomores can still be unleashed as secret weapons

I'm glad everyone has got the starting lineup figured out already. McHale said he will be rotating starters at PG and PF well into December. It takes time to figure out who works best with whom. People on Clutchfans though are clairvoyant, apparently: they've got it figured out already.

Those spot minutes only came in the 3rd/4th and that's because McHale didn't want to play his starters anymore.

If this were the regular season, Smith would have never seen minutes because Dwight/Asik would have been in. Canaan and Brooks would have never seen minutes because Harden/Beverley/Lin would have been in.

I'm guessing he'll have around a 8-10 man rotation. Canaan, Smith, and Brooks won't get any pt.

I think when all is said and done, our 9th man will be Ronnie Brewer. DMo and Jones are out. We'll be alternating between our twin towers lineup and various small ball lineups.

This. What was it last year 3/4 top defensive teams made the finals? Defense wins, we already had offense in spades before Howard came aboard. But a twin tower tandem of terror that can alter shots gobble up boards and generally just wreak havoc could dominate defensively. THAT leads to championships.

Asik and Howard could be an unbelievable force in a league depleted of true centers that relies more on guard penetration for buckets in the paint.

I think he does, and I think he's more "ready" to contribute than DMo or Jones.

Are you still in denial? T Jones and D-Mo rather than Asik? You're in development mode rather than win mode? Your recent posts seem way off the mark.
