Looks pretty "young" to me

 

Wow just watched the game again and this time i focused on the spacing between Howard and Asik. Let me tell you guys one thing, I saw a huge difference between last game and tonight game. Whenever one of them would go do a pick and roll, the other big guy kept moving around in order to keep the defense honest. I really think as they play together, they can easily play 15 mins together even with teams with stretch 4.

I saw some scared Spurs players whenever they were in the paint. If Memphis can roll two big guys on defense than so can we. Plus our offense with Harden, Parsons, Howard, LIN/Bev is enough to compensate for Asik. I am so excited for this team. Last time I was this excited was probably 2004-2005.

 

People don't want Aski on the team because they don't want to be proven wrong, or simply they just do not want him on the team. You know how you have those people out there you won't like someone jusk because. It's the same concept. Some just do not want him on the team just because....I don't know....just because. We can win the title and they still wouldn't change their mind because of their freakin egos. They want their fantasy basketball team, screw what works.

 

I have to believe you just didn't watch the game if you think that. I thought Asik looked great next to Howard. Having 48 minutes of elite defense from your center position is more than just a luxury.

Jones is terrible defensively, and I like Motiejunas, but he's clearly been outplayed by Casspi at the PF position.

 

Asik will play Center, Dwight will be our PF.

This will allow Dwight to play the pick and roll with Harden/Lin.

THis will make Asik happy with his minutes.

The team won't trade Asik, IMO, we will need his elite paint defense.

 

This is a GOOD team. NBA analysts have really underestimated us in my opinion.

I don't know if we'll win a championship yet, but I think we have a very good chance to be at least #3 seed in the West and also a good chance to make it past the second round.

 

I kinda don't want those expectations, those years was probably to me the most depressing years to be a Rockets fan because we got annihilated by the Maves in game 7, remember that?

 

I would be pissed if we trade Asik, unless its for another All-star. ( Cp3, Aldridge, Love). What is even more interesting is that if we keep playing to our potential than these players will beg their teams to trade them to Houston (especially Aldridge).

 

Duncan/Splitter a combined 5 for 19. Outrebounded by Howard/Asik. Numerous basket intimidations and changed shots. Second game twin towers.


Like I said....Big man rotation is Dwight/Asik/Casspi.

Yeah I know that was a painful series, but I am talking about the overall excitement of having Yao and T-mac with potential to have both of them for many years. Too bad injuries got best of both of them but the whole city was excited for Rockets when the trade happened.

 

Yeah i don't think it's about not LIKING Asik. I think it's just that so many have been so adamant that it won't work and now they have to stick to their guns. If it works it works. Tonight it worked. We'll see what happens tomorrow night but if it looks anything like tonight you can be sure they'll roll with it to start the season.

Those scoring numbers will go up once the season begins and he doesn't feel compelled to try and force new post moves every time he touches the ball.

 

Im sorry but their defense was incredible together. Remember Asik is rusty. He is still playing euro ball in his head he needs a couple of wks to remember last year. We dont need him to score or rebound but the defense and th picks he set were incredible.

 

They are too old for certain internet pedophiles.

 

The defense was superb thre werer times when the Spurs pretty much gave up because of the the defense. Im not sure what game some of these guys were watching but the twin towrs loked great.
And they are only going to get better.
