    3rd quarter was all Harden.

I agree they looked good on defense against large line up opponents (TD and Splitter), but they were easily exposed to a stretch 4 (Nowitzki). On offense, Asik was completely useless. Some of you thought they were great on offensive rebounds, but they weren't.

For the twin tower to work with our offense, Howard needs to give up rebounds to Asik and run the floor, but that will not happen.

Did people actually think the Twin Towers didn't work today?? Asik's presence in there altered a lot of shots, and whenever guys tried to penetrate they had to pull back. The first quarter the Spurs scored 20 with their starters. The Rockets on offense will take some work, but I saw a lot of potential out there. The Twin Towers does work against certain teams.

last yr, our closing and best lineup was small ball. We lost a number of games because we had to play small ball even when it was not working (out rebounded). This year, our small ball is arguably more effective and now we have potentially the best big lineup, an option we can use against big team like Memphis and San Antonio. Awesome flexibility.

Harden and Howard took over the 3rd quarter.

My guy managed to put 11 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists and 1 steal  I thought he had at least 3.....23 minutes of play.

Best thing about this roster, IMO. Options on options.

with the consistent 3 point shooting we have we're going to blow out a lot of teams, this team as compared to last year was more streaky, casspi and garcia can just flat out shoot and the 2nd unit is going to help actually pull ahead in more games when the starters are resting.

Cash-pi has had one helluva preseason. Scores and rebounds far better than expected.

Chandler had a nice little game tonight.

With these kind of numbers Asik will be much less desirable for potential trades. The time to have traded him was this past season, after a full season as a starter. No way Portland would trade LMA for a backup center who averages 6 and 8. We're stuck with Asik...and that's a good thing!

I don't think the Rockets have to keep Asik's "trade value up".

It is what it is at this point, and the Rockets won't be coerced into making a deal. I do not think we will see 20+ minutes of twin towers a night, but I think 10-12 minutes is a reasonable assumption.

Wasting time that could be used to develop better younger upside players in Tjones and Dmo...

Asik is a luxury this team does not need.
