Certainly - I understand that part. But if the whole country is at risk (as it was in Iron Man 3), you'd think they'd go and help out instead of just sitting around doing their own thing. The President was kidnapped - at that point, you'd hope Captain America would think "hmm, maybe they want my help?"

And yes, I know I'm nitpicking.

Frankly I was thinking this during IM3. The president is involved, where is shield/cap? Maybe they'll address it in the movie? Anyway, like has been said they do this in comics all the time. It is what it is. Still want to see this.

^ Exactly what I thought. LOTS and LOTS more action.

Does anyone know what river that is at 1:20? Looks like something in eastern United States.

Seriously that trailer looks like a high budget movie directed for tv. Turn out they are directed by the Russo brother who directed tv comedies.

They need to inject some type of personality to that boring actor.

That's another thing too. I enjoyed Chris Evans in the first Captain America movie. But this one he's just doesn't seems to fit the role. There isn't any charisma in that Captain America character or he lacked that deep voice.

Good lord Samuel Jackson hit the pension plan jackpot with his role as Agent Fury. Is he going to appear in every single Avenger Marvel movie?

His original contract was for nine movies, and I think they extended him? I might be slightly off on this.

Movie looks good, can't wait. :)

Also am I wrong or is that not Fury on the operating table in the middle of the trailer?

I have a bad feeling about it. I enjoyed the first CA movie and all of the other Avenger lead-in movies... but to me, The Falcon character doesn't sell very well (from the trailers). I'm hoping the movie doesn't disappoint.

What is up with those awkward funky camera angles when they fight or jump?

Lol what the heck is up with the physics of Captain's shield?? Was it like that during the Avengers and the first one?? I don't remember it just magically zooming back to him and having a mind of its own. Looks really silly. Maybe it's just the way it was shot.

I thought Hawkeye and the Black Widow were inseparable. Hawkeye and Hulk need to be supporting characters in another Marvel movie before the Avengers 2 (like BW is for CapAm) to flesh out their characters a little bit, and to refresh the memories of viewers that they still exist. I get that the draw is Iron Man and Thor, but it's good "re-introduce" them to us, nonetheless.

Is that the only gripe you have with the movie? That a minor character doesn't sell well?

I fell asleep watching the first CA movie, but this four minute trailer / clip has me really excited for the sequel.

Well, it's Captain America and the Black Widow, so there aren't going to be many over-the-top CGI effects and superpowers. No repulsor rays, no calling of lightning, no turning into a green rage monster. Just semi-super strength and agility, and lots of hand-to-hand combat.

If the banter between CA and BW continue, this could turn out to be one of the better movies in Marvel's entire selection. Maybe even on par with Iron Man 1.

I could be wrong, but I think that's how it always was, in the comics / cartoons.

Back in the 70s, seems like there was a short period when Marvel tried to make Cap's shield almost equivalent to Mjolnir (Thor's hammer) in the respect that Cap could summon it back after throwing it. I thought it was corny.

I haven't seen the movie yet. I try not to jump to conclusions from just trailers.

Yeah those fight scenes were a train wreck. The constant cutting was nauseating. Really turned me off to seeing the movie
