Any success Rockets will have will be in spite of McHale not because of him. That and because our genius GM Daryl Morey has built a roster which features the best SG and best C in the league, a top 5 C as back up, a top 10 SF, two starting quality PG's and good role players.

Under Rudy T, the ball moved constantly and it seldomly stuck in one particular player's hand. As dominant as hakeem was, when he received the ball, he either passed it out or shot the ball quickly. You hardly realize he is the man on the team until you saw him scoring with ease, grabbing rebounds or block shots.

Any system, any coach, if you let a certain player hold the ball too long without involving teammates for attacking constantly and efficiently, you're not a good one, even with Michael Jordan in it.

I'm guessing you never watched any of Phil Jackson's championship teams?

These surveys aren't really about the coaches. They're about the team's performance, which then gets attributed to the coach. If we go deep into the playoffs, McHale's numbers in this survey will start to approach Spoelstra and Popovich. If we crash out, McHale will be blamed by Rockets management and let go. He's been a decent fit for a young, freewheeling team with low expectations. Don't be surprised if he turns out not to be the right fit for a rising contender that needs to get its act together.

How exactly would Hakeem be known for his post moves if all he did was pass it out or shoot the ball the moment he got it?

    - He was a good adjustor/strategist when he needed to be, in the playoffs.

    - Out of 30 coaches, he's voted top 3 offensively and all you squeeze out of it is "not among the better coaches of the league"? Just change the title to "Mcfail sux0rs for being a Big Meanie to my Jeremy all the Time!" and get it over with.

    - I doubt your a girl, or from Texas, with your generic ass moniker. No tard uses "cowgirl" unless you're in Dallas.

    - Only basketball virgins capitalize "ISO" because they've never used the term before last year.

Pop Carlisle adelman thibodeau and doc are top in the league.
Mchale is nowhere near those guys, but definitely has a chance to make a case these net couple of years.
George Karl and the van gundys are great too, I hope they all come back.

You just gave yourself away. Dream iso'd all the time, lof. How else do you think he worked the post, pick and roll? Lol, don't act like you actually watched the Rockets before.

From what I've seen, McHale is a good coach but he has trouble convincing his players to do certain things (Harden shoos away screens and goes iso in crunch time against McHale's wishes, and Dwight hasn't been pick and rolling enough)

No doubt. He just joined and already sounds like a parrot that's been saying the exact same lof lines for a year. Next stop...

Messed up thread, the GMs had to answer on who they think is the BEST coach in certain areas and overall, not who's a good coach. McHale even being mentioned as best offense is a good accomplishment under these circumstances, everything else would be delusional.

Yea, its just the same dialogue over and over. You know what I mean, "Mchale Iso" , "Hates lin try make him look bad", "Team isn't good because of Mchale, they are good in spite of Mchale", "x, x, & X, say that Mchale is not good".

Somebody already pointed out that you were wrong, but I would have to disagree about this being the point you gave yourself away. It was long before this response.

Dream iso means he went to work immediately, not holding the ball forever.

I think it's you who is happy letting you feet running in your mouth with personal attacks. I cited a source, stated my point, right or wrong. You can say the argument is ridiculous, but don't say you're not a girl or not from Texas or only Dallas use cowgirl. By the way, Dallas is pretty up scale in a certain way, if you don't know.

Just free advice at the moment. Next time when you go on a spree of outrageous personal attacks, call my accountant for fee payment schedule.
