Both Independence and Highmark are cancelling so-called “guaranteed issue” policies, which had been sold to customers who had pre-existing medical conditions when they signed up. Policyholders with regular policies because they did not have health problems will be given an option to extend their coverage through next year.

Consumer advocates say such cancellations raise concerns that companies may be targeting their most costly enrollees.

They may be “doing this as an opportunity to push their populations into the exchange and purge their systems” of policyholders they no longer want, said Jerry Flanagan, an attorney with the advocacy group Consumer Watchdog in California.

Insurers deny that, saying they are encouraging existing customers to re-enroll in their new plans.

I didn't watch the video, but note that I limited what I said to relatively young (think 45 or younger) and relatively healthy and most of all, in Texas.

Give me a dob and a zip code and I can prove it.

I love it. The more Grand Old Tea Party lies about Obamacare, the more they will be disgraced when folks start using it.

They are counting on that the typical American will forget their lies by the next election cycle. If they drag on their whole whining and lying about their Obamacare defeat for another two years it will make it worse.

As their dear little Tea Partiers get healthcare for the first time in their lives, which will be ongoing, even they will remember last year's lies. Their followers will soon feel the same way they feel about Medicare and Social Security. It will be tough to convince folks that government cannot do anything to help their lives and therefore the wealthy leaders of the Grand Old Tea Party should pay some more taxes.

Maybe they should try another debt ceiling crisis or government shut down.;)

So the Government spend $400 million dollars on creating a web site.
That is an extraordinary amount of money for a site of that nature that was only expected to cover 10 million to 20 million + people a year. E-harmony has had 33 million members and cost less than a few million in venture capital to create.

People need to realize when you're asking the government to step in what you're really going to get. Obviously not learning from experiences at the DPS, Passport Office or any other government agency people here want more but expect it to be run like a Starbucks.

Or maybe it's a dumbass state like Texas that refused to buy into ACA and and now are seeing the error of their ways? Should be blaming state republicans,, not Obamacare.

But you're right, people will remember who lied to them. Those red state Kentucky hillbillies will be turning blue.

Obamacare is the Democrats program start to finish. That's what folks will remember when its time to vote...especially if it continues to be the boondoggle its shown to be so far.

They're definitely more likely to remember Obamacare than the last time Republicans won a popular vote majority in a Presidential election - 25 years ago. Were you even born?

    See?

Headlines like this are just not good optics for republicans.

Pro-Life Groups In Ohio Sue To Block 300,000 Low-Income People From Gaining Health Coverage

On Monday, Ohio became the fourth GOP-led state to agree to expand Medicaid under Obamacare. Gov. John Kasich (R) has been pressuring his fellow Republicans to expand the public program for months, and finally secured the necessary support with a 5-2 vote from a special panel of seven lawmakers.

I highly doubt by 2016 the rollout of the ACA will be an issue.

    Must be nice.

The wife of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) confirmed in an interview with The New York Times what the tea party star's opponents have insinuated gleefully for weeks: The most vocal opponent of Obamacare enjoys a high-priced health plan through investment bank Goldman Sachs.

"Ted is on my health care plan," Heidi Nelson Cruz, who has worked in the firm's management division for eight years, told the paper in a story published Wednesday.

Employer-sponsored health plans are generally tax-deductible for companies, so the Cruz family's expensive health plan presumably reduces Goldman's tax liability.

Even Democratic Senators know how badly the Obama administration handled this.
