Also, don't assume you have to buy the setting and stone from the same place. Make sure she gives you some help picking out the setting - once that's done, the headache is mostly complete. At that point, just a matter of picking out a diamond that's clean enough to meet your needs - the jeweler will do the rest. I got a nice deal since I bought setting and diamond from same place here in SF. But that's not always the case. Spend some time on the diamond sites like bluenile to get a good idea of market value. Personally I wouldn't buy a stone online.
Aside from the obvious issues that may come along with not being able to see and evaluate it in person, do you have any other particular reasons why not? Heard any horror stories? I found some great deals through Blue Nile, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to replicate those prices in person (I haven't gone anywhere to check yet), plus you have the advantage of not having to pay sales tax.
You said it man - you need to intensely examine each stone from all angles and different light areas before picking one out. Plus I don't trust being able to locate a defect online.
This. That's basically the look that's impossible for a woman not to like, IMO. Classy and eye-catching. I got my wife something similar and added an additional band once we got married.
UGHHHHHHHHH... since you asked for advice on CF I'm guessing you really don't want a serious response... so with that I recommend you get one custom made by this guy : Spoiler
It's where the wife directed me to go, and since I can be a b**** at times, I listened....didnt know anything about it other than it got good reviews.
Jamesallen.com They have 20x zoom images of each diamond along with 360 degree views. You can cherry pick the best looking diamond in the price range and specs of what you're looking for. 60 day no questions asked return policy. Bluenile isn't bad but you don't know exactly what that diamond looks like and no matter what the grade says, the diamond you get may not be eye clean. More information can be found at truthaboutdiamonds.com I had multiple jewelry store connections when I went shopping and none of them could touch the online price.
Bro, your right hand does not need a ring no matter how much the voices in your head tell you it does... it's not going anywhere! Spoiler jk, good luck
and be sure to name your babies 'rocket player names' like hakeem, chuck, clyde, eddie, mario, sam etc...
