I think you're pretty confused. Daryl uses hand guns. He's been seen holding rifles throughout the series. Carl is even seen taking one from his bag during the 2nd season. He uses crossbows for the reasons stated above, but it's pretty obvious that he's open to using guns.

Your last sentence describes Rick. He's the one who stated that he'd be "too screwed anyways". Which is kind of right. He carries around a 6-shot. If he's going to need a gun, it's going to be because of a horde. And on that account, he can just run or knife them all.

BUT HEY. I'M SURE BULLETS GROW ON TREES DURING ZOMBIE APOCALYPSES. STUPID RICK! :)

Did Rick stop using guns at some point last season? I don't remember him doing it. We're supposed to assume he stopped using them during the break, after Carl shot that guy, right?

I remember he used his gun last to infiltrate Woodbury.

But I'm not sure if he didn't use it after that before the season finale.

this. He's concerned over his influence on Carl and is trying to right the ship and move towards farming.

Unfortunately, he seems concerned that even his farming tactic backfired as there is a chance the disease came from the pigs. Thus the slaughter.

Also didn't hurt that Daryl gave him the pep talk about how he was always there when the @ hit the fan.

I must be the only person on this forum who really enjoyed season 2. I thought the battle between Rick and Shane was great. The whole Sophia thing was just a back story to me, that season was about whether the group was going to go Rick or Shanes way.

Ill admit season 2 started slow but i thought the second half was great.

I loved it too, but I just started watching and didn't have to wait multiple days between episodes.

Once I determine that I don't enjoy a show, I stop watching. I don't understand why anyone would watch a show they don't like.

i hate how they keep dwelling on the idea that carl killed that kid in cold blood and using it as a plot device to turn rick into jethro the farmer...

the kid was clearly advancing on carl and was about to make a move - carl did what he had to do. it is so obvious that the kid was about to try to overtake them. if they wanted to make it out like carl shot him in cold blood then they should have just had the kid stand there, drop the gun and carl blast him.

and speaking of carl, listening to how much his voice has changed reminds me of that brady bunch song...

You'd think they just spread out around the fence and thin out the hoard, which wou;ld make them easier to kill and put even, but lesser, pressure around the fence. Guess not. :p

I think the point is that the result of whoever is feeding them rats in the very same place along the fence has conditioned the Dead to walk to the same place in the fence.

They weren't really sacrificed. I think Rick would've eventually killed them because of the possibility that they were the ones transmitting the disease. That is why he had to burn the pig pen afterward.

He cried because he raised them and also because he feels all his efforts were wasted.

The pigs would lead them farther away and give them more time to reenforce the fences.

I don't know, if I was the father I would want my daughter to be strong like Carl.

How many people can capture a mouse and hand feed it to the zombies, much less a little girl? I think there is an insider that is feeding them food so that they will congregate at the same spot. Someone that was close to the Governor? Maybe the new medic is that guy, he did just joined them not long ago.

But what about the piling up of the bodies? They have to clear those out as well, else it would become a step ladder for the other zombies to climb over the fence.

Yeah i get their point, but they clearly still walk towards visible food over anything else, so it would make sense to spread out and get their attention.

What I don't get is, if it was one of the regulars (Sasha, Carol, etc...) who burned the bodies, why s/he did it in secrecy? They didn't burn the other bodies, so why the need to burn these 2?

Who was the other burned victim (the 2nd body), David (or whatever his name was), the person who Karen said has also developed a cough?

If it was an outsider (whom I believe is the one feeding mice to the zombies), what good does burning the body serves? Scare tactics? Doesn't make sense.

Shouldn't Tyreese be quarantined, since he has close relationship with Karen?

Did anyone get the feeling that they may kill off Maggie by season end? The picture Glenn took seems to foreshadow that direction.

I have a feeling they are going to match up the older sister with Carl.

i thnk it's the "weak" girl that burned them. They killed her father, sort of.

I'm guessing they were killed first and then burned, since there were no screams heard.

Shows are geared to get you hooked. There is money to be made hooking people on shows even if it becomes terrible. You bring in a good writer, s/he does their magic for a couple years. The writers leave either because they run out of (good) ideas or they simply want too much.

I've abandoned two shows. The first was heroes. The second one was Star Gate Universe. There are several shows that I should have abandoned but I held on to the end.

They were alive, just sick; somebody killed them and burned the bodies to stop the flu from spreading. Desperate times.

I'm liking this season a lot more than seasons two and three. I didn't even finish season three, because it was so damn slow. I wish there was more Daryl, though, and less of the new characters.

Personally, I think they could go on a major kill of all the zombies around the prison and where would replacement zombies come from? The only way they would be attracted to the prison is if there were loud noises coming from the prison. They make it seem like there are hundreds or even thousands of zombies showing up daily. How could that be unless the Governor is back there dropping them off of 18-wheelers? That may be what is happening. And, he has a mole on the inside doing the rat-fence thing at the same time. Otherwise, all these zombies that keep showing up must be using their phone GPS or something to signal in on one of the only remaining locations where humans are gathered. They can't smell them from miles away. They make it seem like the humans could knock out zombies at the fence line all day long...and there would be replacement zombies there in no time. The only way that could be is if the Governor or someone is driving the zombies there in the first place. The zombies aren't telling other zombies about this place I once ate some brains that might have some more.

No arguments about that episode. I really think they delivered the news at the end perfectly, and Tyreese going HAM towards the end was a nice addition too.
