I agree with you in general, but I think I am living in the one market that might be a bit different and that's St. Louis. Granted, the Cardinals are in the World Series right now so that's obviously a big topic, but even after the season is over, they dominate the conversation kind of like the Texans do around Houston year-round.
Not related or connected at all. Just was a fan of both wex and mattj. I really don't like any of the morning shows anymore.
I have no problem with Adam Clanton. He tries to talk Rockets. The problem is Lance who thinks he knows Rockets but really does not and is ready to turn back to football and Texans at every given opportunity. Most balanced is Charlie.
The Morning can only be tolerated in 15 minute incriments same with the other station . . .so you end up listening to the 'music' stations I did begin to notice that Charlie does overtalk people a lot with his I KNOW MORE THAN YOU TONE . . . kind of like the Sports Bill Maher even before the person finishes their point which may agree with him It is a mess on sports radio Rocket River
Woke up and hear Rockets basketball talk...for about 10 mins then it went back to football. Hopefully this ends when the Texans start the tank in a couple of weeks.
The best part was them teasing Rockets talk for a segment. Basically telling the listener "Hey we are the home of the Rockets and coming up we will talk about them. Now, back to the NFL." Look, the NFL drives ratings so I get it, but I hate it.
I listened to the first 2 hours this morning on 790, they ONLY talked rockets, zero texans talk so idk where you are getting that from
Today and yesterday will be the most rocket talk you will hear until the Rockets get into the playoffs. Rocket talk will dwindle from here and move back to Texans. Even today I scanned between all 4 sports radio stations and it was primarily still football talk with Rockets being the first thing they discussed for 10 minutes and then the rest of the show being about football. It seems like many on here are just as annoyed as I am but I guess it won't change if us Rockets fan won't call in and start some discussion.
its ridiculous how many times they talk about schaub, even when he sucks. if you werent fron houston and tuned in everyday for the week you would think he was the #1 sports figure here.
Not much Rockets talk this morning except an interview with JB. They rather waste 20 odd minutes with that fool "tony the hatchet man valentine"
Texans Karen is AMAZING. I LITERALLY worked with that person. She thought the Rockets were gross, and said the one time she went to a Rockets game she felt "unsafe". I was creeped out his impression was so accurate.
Texans games are way more unsafe and the people are ugly. Aside from Dallas, Reliant Stadium is one of the few places I've walked into knowing I was better'n everybody else around me.
