how come you don't point this out on posts critical of Lin? Guy shot 50% over last 2 games, doesnt do so in this game and the world is now coming to an end.

dude is a 5 million dollar starting point guard....I can see all this outrage next year when he's getting 15, but for now you're getting what you paid for...maybe even better value.

Lin had two of the best passes in the game... one behind the back that led to a Dmo dunk

That's what a lot of fans do pimpn when they are trying to validate their point of view.

Some of these jokers have already put the man on the bench and crowned Bev as the starter lol. Reason being its best for the team. I'm trying to figure out what did Lin do to lose his starting job. Why did Coach McHale put this in the minds of the fans.

    I was at the game.

Is it just me or the rockets have no mid range game. It's always a 3 or drive to the basket. There were so many plays where they could have shot a pull up 2 but ended up going all the way to the basket on 2 defenders missing the Layups.

    Things I saw:
    Lins great passing skills.
    Bevs defense.
Garcia & Casspi great 3 point shooting.
Parsons held his own against dirk defensively.
Asik still can't catch or finish.
No mid range jumper except one by harden.
People fall for parsons fake A Lot but he doesn't go anywhere with it.
We can't get the ball in the post (except brooks, but he was giving it to g smith so maybe that's why).

Also people shouldn't complain about turnovers from one player. Everyone was turning over the ball. I think it was 20 something turnovers as a whole team. Everyone was playing sloppy, even the other team had a lot of turnovers.

I dont think backup centers are all that important, unless there are injuries.

I would trade Asik while his value is high for a pick if possible.

Maybe Morey is waiting to do that at the trade deadline and get a better pick, dunno, but Asik to me needs to go.

DD, respectfully disagree. The one thing we've seen from all our acquired stars or superstars: injury. McHale could've also said, "I have two starting centers," and that's a good thing.

He is worth more than a pick. He may be able to yield us a solid 4 in a package.
He can also compliment Dwight coming off the bench.

i'm watching the replay now. man, the refs suck! Lin was clotheslined by Dirk, Garcia was hacked by Dirk and no foul was called.

He is a waste coming off the bench, a luxury that the team does not need, and his value will be diminishing as his playing time does.

I like the guy, but we got a much better player in Dwight, we don't need another center that ties up that much cap space.

We can still get more value than a pick for him, even if he gets 20-25mins a game.
    I think he can get 15 mins a game as a 5, and 5-10 mins as a 4.

watched full game. yep beside his cold hand I saw him did feed the bigs well and played solid D. I think that's why coach kept him on court and praised his performance. Actually we had Jose Carldron keep shooting contested mid range jump shots, yet most of them went in, you just cant have everything go your way in a day. had he missed some of those jump shots and ref been fair to Dwright and he make those FTs(SMH) early, the game flow would be totally different, we already got 10 points lead in half time and a morally boosted Dwright might get us 20/20 in the end. Instead we got bad luck, terrible refs and a tough first half.

Other things like hustle for loose ball and get deflections which are all coaches telling them to do, saw that in their training footage. yes he had a bad shooting night but this team dont need him to score much to pull out a win, he got other more important job to do.

The twin towers will work if given Time. Both Dwight and Asik have the required lateral quickness to guard the perimeter. Just got to fix that spacing on offense, and we'll be golden
