ClutchFans Game Thread: Mavericks @ Rockets 10/21/2013 (PRESEASON)

The important question is, is it time for 2k to change Harden's rating to 95 on three point with the way he has been shooting the 3ball this preseason

 

I'd really love to see how well Beverly can play against Parker the next game.

 

By the way, Asik dominated the boards when Dwight was out.

Reminder to people, he's was injured and it's his first pre season game...give him a break.

 

This was such a fun game... sort of a downer coming home from it to the same tired rhetoric and divisiveness.

Anyway, the best move of the game was one I'm pretty sure went unaired -- Harden salsa dancing off to the locker room at the buzzer. LOL.

 

Parsons gets a pass because of his salary. I think he is overrated by houstonians. All the droolfest over his looks is vomit inducing. He is very similar to landry fields. Once he starts making field's type of money, the pressure will elevate.

 

just got back from the game...

-surprised by the attendance, quite a few people at the game
-poorly officiated game, calls weren't going both ways
-lukewarm feelings towards the twin tower experiment
-Beverly is a little beast
-I got Dwight to point at me :grin:
-Dirk is a dirty SOB
-Asik's hands are made of butter
-Aaron Brooks should make the team
-Daryl Morey sat a row above me, was on his phone the majority of the game(every game I've been to he's been on his phone 90% of the time)


overall a sloppy game from both teams, looked like a preseason game. I will say Dallas looks like a playoff team to me.

also Clutch left me hanging for a hi five

 

Yes!! Those 3 went off. Energy was crazy.

 

Nice performance from AB tonight... he definitely needed it, and I was glad to see it.

I wish there was an ignore list for LOFs. It's getting tedious to pan through all of the fanboy BS.

 

Decent game. Liked what I saw from Howard, Harden, Parsons, Beverly. Lin had a rough night but pushed the tempo well. Beverly is really playing well though and I thought there was no way this would happen at the start of the year but he might just get that starting spot.

Twin towers was a failure. Asik AND Howard both looked much better when only one of them was on the floor. Bring Asik off the bench please. Asik will get his share of minutes as there'll be lots of games where Howard gets into foul trouble and such.

Casspi looks pretty good. I'm disappointed that I haven't seen much of Smith. Our PF position is WIDE open. Only two of Jones/DMo/Smith/Casspi will play throughout the year, and none of them have really separated themselves enough to earn the starting spot.

 

JLin 6 points 8 assist and 3 steals isnt bad..Its enough to win the game..JLin love to the pass the ball to his team mates that is for sure..

 

Can't wait for Twin Tower Experiment Day 2: Spurs.

Overall I don't think the Howard and Asik twin towers is gonna work

 

Yeah 9 rebounds in 25 minutes is not bad, especially in a first game back. Rox outrebounded Mavs by 12.

As others have said, Twin Towers does not have to be amazing. Isn't it great just to have Asik on the court when Dwight sits? Think of it as "Twin Towers plus Asik is your backup center."

 

I seemed to have missed the Terrence Jones not playing news. What happened??

 

Dwight doing an awesome, "and you're out!" (?) move at 4:20. Lol. Some good Parsons/Howard tandem going on here too.
