Doesn't change that Case showed he can make the throws and move in the pocket. You address his weaknesses during the bye week.

Discussing hot reads and blitz protection with a young quarterback is an easier task than rebuilding the broken psyche of a 32-year-old with a declining arm.

Am pretty sure Matt would have been demolished too if he was in there.

Tom Brady would have been demolished. Case didn't have time to raise his arms. Some of the rushers were completely unblocked. Nobody succeeds with that kind of protection, or lack of protection.

I wanna agree with this but does anybody who watches other mobile quarterbacks like Kaep and Wilson, for example, know if they get hit like that at all? I feel like those two have pretty good awareness so they don't go down that quick...
In any case, Keenum did about as good a job as anyone could in his position. Definitely makes it a hard decision as to who should be the started against Indy.

They have much better offensive lines.

What an irony, so earned the opponent's respect but couldn't earn the respect from his stubborn ass coach.

Tom Brady would have recognized the second straight overload blitz and gotten rid of the ball on a quick slant.

Pre-snap reads was the biggest issue I saw from Keenum this weekend. UH fanboys will say the line was awful, but it's pretty friggin' hard to block 7 guys with 5 when you don't read it and adjust.

    Here are the real questions...

Would you rather go with Keenum the rest of the season and finish 7-9 (possibly 8-8, just missing the playoffs), thereby giving our young QB much needed game experience? Of course, this scenario likely guarantees the return of Kubiak and his regime next season. (We can all hear Uncle Bob making excuses for missing the playoffs because of key player injuries... while willingly dismissing the pathetic display during the first 6 games of the season.)

Or would you rather leave Kubiak to his own stubborn devices (i.e. Schaub) and see the team quit while finishing the season 3-13? Surely Uncle Bob cleans house at that point, right?

I'm afraid I know the answer to these questions.

Here's most of the positive excerpts from chiefsplanet forums [link]:

I actually put a lot of worth in hearing opinions from non-Texans fans on Keenum's play. While I'm a Texans fan first, I, like many of us, really like Keenum and am trying to temper my enthusiasm for fear of coming across like a delusional fanboy... but if others are seeing the same thing, then maybe we're not so crazy!

listening to Bill Simmons podcast, said he liked him although he called him Case Kellum a few times before he was corrected. Compared him to Romo (he was talking to a Cowboys fan so I'm not sure if he joking).

The defense got him eventually(thank God)but if I'm Kubiak, I'm wearing shades because the future is so bright.
    Those arent shades they're blinders.

Did you not watch the 1st half where he got rid of the ball because he knew the blitz was coming?

If you did watch the 1st half then I don't know what you were seeing.

Texans are the team that always gets nice comments from good teams. But we always lose to them, so they want to say something nice about our sorry franchise. Thanks for the comments, Chiefs. We don't give two ****s.

Yeah, with all of Keenum's NFL experience, he should have known better.

Color me not at all surprised that Case wouldn't perform exactly in his first game as Tom Brady would perform now.

Tom Brady is among the best QB's who ever played the position. This is a guy in his first NFL start.

Pre-snap reads are an easy fix provided the kid is coachable.
