Do you guys think putting Asik on as a starter made Howard work harder? Friendly competition?

Why do people panic about the score etc in pre season? what the boys are doing behind closed doors to iron out the creases before game 1 against Charlotte is what matters. We are going to have a lot of creases as well, we are young, we are building chemistry and we need to be patient although we will be good

Asik looks very rusty , which is expected since it is his first game back ... Also would rather see d-mo than Casspi . Anyways I think Howard and Asik looked ok , I think once Omer gets his wind back that lineup will be very serviceable. It doesn't need to be our best lineup . As long as we can get both of them on the floor for ~ 10 min a game , it's a lot easier to keep Omer and give him solid minutes. This team really is 10+ deep and I think that we jus get stronger and stronger as the season goes on .

They played almost 7.5 minutes together in the 1st quarter. Asik has been really bad tonight, with or without D12 on the floor with him.

    Relax.
It's the first game Asik returns.
    They will get better.

Many good teams play 2 7" together. It need time to make it work.

I think that has more to do with him coming back from injury and less with twin towers. I'd like to see twin towers for more than 15-20 games before I make a final judgement.

    Jones has a shoulder injury.
Dmo probably will play in the second half.

i love how versatile our roster is, so many different line up they can throw at the other team

and winning without shooting well, is just a good sign from a good team.

The Heat get the job done in a lot of games even when they are shooting poorly

Bev, Dwight and Garcia look great. Harden has a lazy 13 without even going into gear 2 which shows his greatness. Parsons has to finish better and Lin needs to play better period.

Asik alterd a few shots and looked solid on D. Offense he looks rusty but thats to be expected.

    +1
Really want to see how that lineup would perform defensively...assuming Asik can shake off some of the rust.

'they weren't setting picks with dirk against bev, dirk was out by then. the times they did pick off beverley, the israeli pg got a free lane to the basket.
They have to decide what they want, under or over the pick when Dirk sets.

I agree with this. Asik looks out of sink.
