Yo pure malt disappoints me! I dont know what's up with it but unlike most Mugler fragrances it just doesn't last on me. The sadness is real. I think i'll be sticking with Pure Havane this fall.

Also, I can't seem to find it at the moment but I want a new bottle of Pure Shot.

I think it smells somewhat similar to spicebomb as well. Ahhhh i dont know if I actually want to go out and buy some spicebomb.

Also, it's the time of year i'm gonna add Bvlgari Pour Homme Soir into my main rotation

Eau des Baux is quite similar. Also consider Serge Lutens's Chergui and David Jourquin's Cuir Tabac.

This thread needs to be locked up. I keep buying crap. I just made 4 blind buy purchases thanks to a FragranceNet coupon :

Nautica Voyage ... for less than $16, why the heck not?
The Golden Secret by Antonio Banderas ... $21 ... hahaha... I need help.
Spice Bomb by Viktor & Rolf... heard so many good things about it, I had to give it a whirl.
Santale Majuscule by Serge Lutens... on paper the notes sound awesome - sandalwood, rose, cocoa.

Now stop bumping this dang thread... :)

My favorite is Mont Blanc Legend. I decided to try it out and since then I've gotten a ton of compliments on it.

I may be screwed having a buddy that's a dealer. I never knew their was so much to this stuff. He came over with about 100 bottles to choose for my wife. I'm more of a zest and Irish soap guy but agreed to try some creed and bond 9 in goldish bottle that impressed me. I only own a couple diff bottles but I may invest in some high end stuff. I have no idea how you guys are spelling some of the names but keep it coming lol. I will know exactly what to ask my buddy to sample.

I wear cologne maybe 5 times a month, so I don't place nearly the importance many on this thread do.

But I wear Chrome Azzaro, good and affordable. It's the only cologne I've wore for a few years now. Girls really seem to dig good cologne, I'm not sure why. I understand not wanting somebody to smell bad, but odor neutral is certainly fine with me.

That sucks. I get great longevity out of Pure Malt. Spray it on before going out and can still smell it the next morning. The projection isn't as much as A*Men or Pure Havane, but it's enough for me. I think all 3 are kinda repetitive though and you only need to own 1 at a time.

You can get Pure Shot right now from fragrancenet for $53.87 with coupon code DCRT3. If you spend a few more bucks to get to $59, you get free shipping too. Also, if you go to the site thru ebates, you get an extra 6% cash back.

The great thing about fragrances is there isn't a correct answer to this. Everyone in this thread has a different top 5/10 list. What smells great to me could smell like piss to you... you just gotta go to the stores, sample, and buy what you like.

I should buy stock in fragrancenet... also, as I mentioned above, make sure you go thru ebates next time for an extra 6% cashback. It's not a lot, but if you order frequently it will add up (and eventually be enough for another bottle haha!)

Nautica Voyage - I got my bottle for $20 at Ross. One of the best bang for the buck frags available IMO. For the aquatic/fresh category, this one has amazing longevity. I'd pay 3x the amount for it.

The Golden Secret - don't laugh, this is seriously good as well. It's a toned down, less in-your-face version of 1 Million (same parfumer). I actually prefer this to 1 Million because it's not as loud. Back in the day I bought both The Golden Secret as well as The Secret, and they are still surprisingly two of the more used frags I own even among much more expensive bottles.

SpiceBomb - have really liked it ever since the first time I tried it, but for some reason still have not gotten around to buying a bottle... probably because it wasn't very suitable for summer weather. But since it's getting cooler, I imagine I will be getting one as soon as I go through the few samples I have left of it. Have you seen the 'SpiceBomb Titanium'? I think it's the same scent just in a slightly different bottle, but I'm not sure. Perhaps DudeWah can shed some light on this...

Have not tried the Lutens, but from the reviews it does sound awesome.

Be careful, it's a slippery slope. I only started getting into fragrances a few months ago and it's funny to see how far down the rabbit hole I've fallen LOL. Looking through all my previous posts in this thread and seeing what I've bought/sampled paints a pretty clear picture. It's like watching a druggie progress from a simple joint to freebasing meth. Once you start, you won't be able to stop... especially if you have such easy (and I'm assuming cheaper) access to THE GOOD STUFF lol.

Lastly... BUUUUUUUUUMP for Dr of Dunk

I bought spice bomb for my Dad for his bday. He doesn't wear it, but it smelled really good when I tried it at the store. I've been looking into getting some Creed or Tom Ford ( ya know, for the Jay Z aspect).

Nice, sounds like you get to keep it for yourself then! I think Jay-Z's Tom Ford reference was probably about the clothing line, but Drake has a song titled 'Tuscan Leather' which is one of Tom Ford's Private Blends (and supposedely smells like cocaine). I'd recommend going to a Nieman Marcus to sample Creed and Tom Ford before you buy, as they are kinda pricey. As long as you're decently dressed and seem genuinely interested, the sales associates will usually give you as many samples as you want (within reason).

Cool, which one? I haven't smelled many Lacoste's, but my buddy's gf bought him this one and it's pretty good... kinda light, but smells great. Fresh, inoffensive scent perfect for daytime/everyday/office use.

I have Mont Blanc Legend ... a friend told me to get it. I don't know why I did. On my skin it smells like metal mixed with ink. If it works on you, more power to you, but man, that's one of the ones I regret purchasing.

Chrome is one of my all-time favorite colognes. I hadn't worn it in a few years when a co-worker walked by wearing it. I asked him if it was Chrome and he was like "yeah, my wife makes me wear it ..."

I work with nerds so if they don't smell like piss and Cheetos, I consider it a good day.
