Nowitzki will have nightmare match-up. He is slow, old, and besides 3's won't do any problems.

The major weakness of a twin tower made up players with extremely similar attributes like Asik and Howard is that they are exposed to the threat of the modern stretch PF. Nowitzki just happen to be the goat stretch PF.

    well, dwight is only 6"9

he is actually about the right height for PF so wont have any issues w other teams PF

Why do people think Asik can't defend away from the basket? He is excellent at doing that or am I mistaken?

he can defend outside the paint but question who is better..

is he fast enough to run back to paint to box out and get defensive rebound? also can he run the fast break?

Omer is just as good of a defender as DH12 imo. I don't think we have anything to worry about in terms of who defends the 4 or the 5. He is incredibly mobile for someone his size and strength.

if they're both equal then you need the bigger and taller of the two to stay in the paint

I'm with you there. From what I've seen Asik moves his feet pretty well when defending away from the paint. He would have problems with a faster PF which Dirk is not. Asik's length hopefully will bother Dirk.

I guess we will see. I like what some others have said in that come X-mas time, we will see how good he is at. Till then, I have my doubts against young athletic 4's with range in the league.

I hope they'll announce well in advance who's starting which games, cause I'm not going to pay $500 to watch Bev start. And the Taiwanese TV stations can decide which games they want to broadcast.

Some of the games are on delay so I guess some just won't be shown.
