These guys are morons...Texans gave them a chance and these boneheads gave up golden opportunities.

I wouldnt really blame the Texans here...if anything, I respect that they showed a no BS type of mentality...I just wish they showed that to Marciano and Kubiak.

That's the hypocrisy in the organization.

    Maybe.

It was the 3rd time this season Wood has been on the inactive list. He wasn't active last week either. It's just speculation at this point whether he would've been active if he hadn't violated team rules.

Opposite for me... I actually felt he might be able to contribute next year when they decided to move him to DE.

The guy has no burst, explosion at OLB. They moved him to DE cause he was too slow and gained alot of weight.

Plus, he has no motor. The exact opposite of JJ Watt.

This whole organization is a mess and sucks from the owner down to the players.

The owner does not fire the head coach even after it was obvious 2 years ago he was mediocre.

The GM just adds to the list of ****ty draft picks with the release of Montgomery.

The assistant coaches suck. The owner goes with Wade for DC because he is safe. The special teams coach is just horrible, but he is a good Christian man so he sticks around. I am sure the coaching staff goes to McNair's office to listen to Clay Walker on an old tape deck after bible study.

We have a QB that is not allowed to piss without someone holding his hand, and then the coaches are shocked when he cannot handle adversity. The coaches name TJ Yates #2 over Keenum, even though Case showed he was better this pre season... then suddenly Case goes from #3 to Jake Plummer.

Now, the Texans release 3 players because they can feel the players breaking away from them and tuning them out.

Seriously, McNair needs to go.... he wouldnt even fire a coach coming off a 2-14 season, he relied on Reeves to justify the decision. He just sucks, and the GM is mediocre, the head coach lack any creativity and the assistant coaches are just not any good.

How do you have the talent the Texans have, and essentially have one year of being a good team? Even that team was so poorly coached and prepared that it wilted down the stretch. To most fan bases the 2012 team would be a tremendous disapointment.... not for Texans fans, because we have had a **** sandwich for 35 years.

Lol good one. But you know what, there probably is some truth to this. Certain players, (Matt Schaub and recently Ed Reed) seem to not have the same accountability as other players on the team. Not making an excuse for whatever the three released players did but this selective accountability can break down the team moral and be a bad influence on the younger players as well. If your not getting the job done, (crappy playing, team rules violations, etc.) you need to be replaced, across the board and put someone in there able and willing to get the job done. Just another example of why the Texans overall are not a good organization.

Agreed. This amounts to displacement as an immature defense mechanism on the part of management. Its like kicking the dog because you had a bad day at work. They would never cut Schaub for throwing six pick sixes.

I forgot to add RT Newton. These guys have been garbage this whole year and have been allowed to go out there and hurt the team.

Looks like Jefferson was waived for smoking a cigar in the hotel.

    Link

Today the Houston Texans released LB Willie Jefferson for smoking a “Cigar” in the team hotel. The cigar contained nothing but tobacco, but the coaches decided to make the move.

This could be a huge mistake for Coach Gary Kubiak who is now definitely on the hot seat. I talked with a representative of Willie Jefferson who stated:

“Willie admits to smoking a cigar, and take full responsibility for his actions. He is quite upset that this happened, and didn’t know it would cause this type of reaction. He apologized to his teammates, and said he couldn’t speak for Cierre and Sam on why they were released.”

If that is the case, what a horrible reason to be waived, I mean half the Texans team dips tobacco. I guess that is ok, I know Willie will land on a roster very soon.

It was for opening the hotel fridge....

But Rick Smith is really boom or bust with picks, hitting with Hopkins on 1st and Swearinger on 2nd is good, but Montgomery and B.Williams in third (I know he's injured but taken higher than rated. Trevardo in 4th, didn't show much. Then Bonner and Chris Jones in the 6th not on team.

All I know is B.Mccain is garbage and a Tyrann Mathieu was on board in third and that's a player you take a chance on, not Montgomery.
