    Jeez... that's two (if true).

Unfortunately, I can only think of one more elderly Houston candidate to be the third... and that would trump both Bum and Bud (on a national level).

Will be curious to see the "sentiment" for Bud Adams... he was never well liked here. Cleveland certainly didn't honor Modell when he passed. People were lining up to urinate on his grave!

Yeah, most of us don't have good feeling for Bud after he took the Oilers away. But IMO, that's not really a good reason to celebrate his death or piss on his grave.

Wrong. If he had not have moved the Oilers, there would be no Texans franchise.

    RIP.

If this city ever had a love affair at any point, with any team... it was the Oilers.

Even the Rockets championship celebrations didn't match this city packing the dome to welcome back a team that had LOST (hell, the city didn't sell out the dome for the Rockets championship celebration for a team that won).

Nobody should be pissing on any graves... but Adams moved the only team that this city truly loved unconditionally, and he's not going to be remembered well for doing it.

There also wouldn't be a Texans franchise if Bob McNair didn't hire Steve Patterson to court the NFL.

the Steve Patterson who masterminded the original cast of Clutch City.

I could sum up my feeling about Bud Adams, but I'd rather let Bud do the talking for me:

I'll just say this.....I'm never happy when anyone dies. But, I'll save all my thoughts and prayers for Bum Philips and his family.
