Great, except make the third option VY instead. Imagine the ensuing fan wars with all three on the roster next year.

Manziel has more important **** to do. Leave him be. Get off Manziel/Sumlin's nuts. There will be a college football playoff to win.

Not this year... and neither will be around next year.

I'd love to have Manziel starting next year with Keenum as our backup.

Would a better poll be Kevin Sumlin or Gary Kubiak?

But would the fan war be larger than Lin vs. Beverley?

We might not even be in an enviable spot to draft a high QB, unless we tank the rest of the season.

Even still, I'd rather see what Keenum can do to try and salvage this season.

Manziel isn't projected to go too early. I imagine he'll be the 4th QB taken.

    I'm a longhorn so i'm neutral.
Manziel seems like he has better pocket awareness and scrambling ability.

Manziel has the luxury of being protected by the 1st or 2nd best offensive line in the game (last year) and a top 5 offensive line this year. But yeah.

Both? If one pans out over the other, then we'll have a talented "unknown" holding the clipboard on the sidelines. Perfectly tradable for draft picks to help rebuild this team. Get Sumlin in here too. I really hope Bob throws the house at him this offseason.

The only thing that worries me about Manziel is that he has an all-world OLine...yes, he escapes pressure incredibly well and can scramble as well as anyone. However, the majority of the time, he has at least 5-6 seconds to scan the field and decide what he wants to do with it. What happens when he has 3 seconds max to go through his reads and make the timed pass?

When the play breaks down, Manziel is a stud...but when there is limited time in a pocket, Im just not sure about the kind of throws he is capable of making.

Having said that, I wouldnt mind having him on the roster. In the meantime, I want to evaluate Keenum for the remainder of the games and see how that goes.

    brother,

I see your signature. I don't know what is up with UH fans. Everybody knows that A&M and UT are the big boys in the state and they have the majority of the alumni in Houston.

So when these pinnacles of the state of texas's alumni want to see their favorite player on the expansion Texans team, there's no need to hate. Ironically the UHers are doing this now, since their hero is on the team.

We all know that college loyalty is vastly superior to the NFL loyalty in Houston.

I was just saying, Manziel's oline has been good, not sure how he'd do with only 2 seconds to make a decision.

If anyone that's considered a realistic franchise QB is available whereever the Texans draft, you draft him - no matter how Keenum looks the rest of the season. This is the draft where there are tons of QBs available, and you can probably get one cheaper and more easily than you would in future years. Putting all your eggs in the basket of an undrafted QB is going to backfire if he's mediocre and the Texans don't have the opportunity to draft a franchise QB again because they are just good enough to be outside the top 10 in the draft or face drafts without as good a QB class.

This for sure. Trade up to get him. Just don't do a damn RG3 type of deal.

YES that is the more legitimate and relevant question than Keenum vs Manziel.

And for the record, I don't like how Manziel carries himself; but LOVE how Case does it. He took responsibility for the loss to Chiefs even though he was pretty much among the least to blame along with JJ & Dre. He does not, I say again, does NOT spew chit like "I think we should get better as a team...." BS after 4th straight pick6 by you-know-who. This one thing more than shows Case Keenum was a natural leader than Matt "it's the team's fault" Schaub.
