I brought up Rice after directly addressing the substance of your post. You failed entirely to even attempt such a feat. Pwn3d.
I actually root for Tech because one of the kids attends Tech. You, as usual, have no idea what you are talking about.
A few comments. On the defense: I don't blame Snyder or Sumlin at all. We just don't have the talent on defense right now. They're young. We have Big 12-sized recruits, not SEC-sized guys in the front 7. The talent and size will be there in 2 years. Then we'll be able assess coaching on that side of the ball. On Sumlin "bailing": Sumlin is killing it in recruiting and he's getting all kinds of attention and pub at TAMU. There's no reason to "bail". There are better jobs out there, sure, but if he leaves it will be to pursue a more prestigious and/or better paying job. TAMU's arrow is pointing up and it'll be a high profile job if Sumlin vacates. "Bail" is a terrible choice of words. Manziel may be gone, but they'll have 2 QB's with top-10-qb potential on the roster. How many schools can offer that? On the draft: Looks like we'll have another top 10 pick (that would make it 4 years in a row -what's the record), and possibly 3 first rounders. And what, 5 guys taken overall? On Manziel: I really haven't seen a player like him since VY. Newton was DOMINANT and Tebow was incredible, but Manziel man... he has "it" in a big way. That Michael Jordan-esque ability. Haven't seen it since VY.
To be fair, it's more like the defense is young and growing. Isaiah Golden is in the 315 range at DT. Manning is in the 280 range. They're going to get bigger. Daeshon Hall is 6'6" 240 (although that # is debatable from what I've heard). He'll get bigger. Give the defense a year to get used to playing college ball and they will start playing like we expected them too. BTW, on the heels of Garrett committing (#1 or 2 defensive player in the state), Sumlin FINALLY got to close the deal on Daylon Mack today. 6'2", 310 lb. junior defensive tackle who's widely regarded as the #1 defensive player in the state for 2015 and is already major college-level strong and quick. As an added bonus, he is one probably the most vocal of the "Fab 5" (Mack, Malik Jefferson, Larry Pryor, Justin Dunning, and Ja'Mycal Hasty) and could steer at least one or 2 to the Aggies (I see that he's already tweeting and calling Jefferson, one of the best OLBs in the country for 2015). I think the defense will be fine in the long run.
Hence the point of my post that all the true freshmen A&M is playing need another year or two to develop into SEC players. How did you get into Rice with such poor reading comprehension, bigtroll? Did you fill some quota for academically challenged students or something?
Daylon Mack commits for 2015. http://espn.go.com/college-sports/r...no-10-junior-daylon-mack-commits-texas-aggies
Yeah that was a few days ago. 4 star DE Qualen Cunningham committed last night for 2014. The defense has picked up 3 huge playmakers in the last week. Wish they could all start playing this weekend!
He's a true freshman. It is the norm for those guys to struggle as they learn the college game. Hell...until 1972, freshmen weren't allowed to play at all in NCAA athletics. Part of the reason...they physically weren't ready. You might want to pick up a college football primer somewhere. You obviously have no understanding of how it operates.
