I agree it is just preseason but I don't understand why the topic starter is getting blasted for making an observation of his play.
In Dwight's case it's all about box scores. 88 million ring a bell. The rockets put him on the wall of great centers to be great not average.
Morale? ~lol~ Anyways, doesn't seem to me like that is the only experiment going on. After these preseason experiments(including posting up many times), Dwight will probably come to senses what his strengths and weaknesses are.
Yeah that's gotta be regular season Howard. Literally the only difference from the first game and the last 3 was pick and rolls, wasnt it? He got some great passes from James and JLin and it got things rolling in the 1st game. They've gone away from that completely the last 3 games. I'll just assume they've got the PnR down so perfectly there's really no need to practice it anymore. Looks like they're just using the rest of the pre-season to practice in the post. Though, Lakers fans worry me a bit claiming its Dwight that doesnt embrace the PnR. It doesnt make sense why he wouldn't tho so its probably just bitter lies.
Um this is completely wrong. In the Pelican game Howard was playing against a no name scrub at center. The next three games he got stuffed in the post by Hibbert and Nikola.
All this "we're saving pick and roll for the regular season" stuff kind of scares me. Is this what Lakers fans were thinking before last season? I want to watch more of the offense we had last year. Running and gunning. Not posting and re-posting and free throws.
what's completely wrong? that they stopped running the PnR? sleepy are you sure? because I swear it's felt like every possession its just been Howard immediately getting in position to work the post while he anxiously waits for the team to awkwardly pass him the ball.
Lebron James preseason stats: 12.8pts, 4reb, 4ast on 47%shooting and 25% from 3 in slightly more minutes/game than Howard. There will be plenty of time to panic once the regular season starts.
I'm pretty satisfied so far. Like nearly everyone else, I want to see more P&R, but his impact is undeniable.
I know Dwight's performance is important, I honestly do but we're talking about pre-season. We're talking about pre-season man. We're talking about pre-season. We're talking about pre-season. We're not talking about the season. We're talking about pre-season. When you come to the Toyota Arena, and you see Dwight play, you've seen him play right, you've seen him give everything he's got, but we're talking about pre-season right now.
