The only thing Melo has on George is scoring.

    George does everything else better.

Because both players are better than him.

The worst part about this list is that Kyrie hasn't been ranked yet. Most overrated player of all time?

doubt james harden is a top 10 player. not much of a difference but i would've put him at 11 or 12. i think he's gonna show up as #8

My guess at the top 10 orderbased on my knowledge of ESPN

    1. Lebron
    2. Durant
    3. CP3
    4. Westbrook (him getting injured probably got him higher on the list)
    5. Harden
    6. Curry
    7. Gasol
    8. Rose
    9. Howard (some writers probably gave him low score just because)
    10. Irving

I think that Harden will be 3 or 4. He finished the season pretty high last year.

Wow. Knew I was gonna be off but definitely thought Parker was gonna be in the top 10.

My guess now for the remainer is
    10. Kyrie 9. Gasol 8. Howard 7. Curry 6. Harden 5. Westbrook 4. Rose 3. Paul 2. Durant 1. Lebron

Paul George is not better than Carmelo Anthony.

I think we'll see him take a major step forward on the offensive end this year. When we couple that with his defensive capabilities, I would project as the better player in the coming year. But maybe I'm biased (never been a big fan of Melo's).

I'm not sure how high Rose will be, i think there will be several conservative voters with questions just how good he'll be that would have slid him down to an 8. Howard's going to get 8's as media back lash.

I think Harden will probably have gotten an almost universal 9, Westbrook too

I'll go with Curry, Gasol, Irving, Rose, Howard as 6-10, no idea the order (8.6 - 8.95), Harden 5 (8.99), Westbrook 4 (9.00) (the vote was before his latest setback yes?), Cp3 (9.3), Durant (9.7), Lebron (10)

I have been a big fan of George the last 2 years and think Melo scoring is overrated when folks call him the best pure scorer

But I don't think George is better than him yet. George is good but can you build a team around him as your main guy?

Build around him in what sense? he's the franchise contract guy on his team with another max player and some high level role players.

I don't think anyone is really going anywhere all on their own except for maybe Lebron, and even that can only go so far.

Can he win a championship as a max contract guy on a team where the other max contract guy isn't Lebron? i think he can. Can Carmelo? even if we moved Melo's max down to the 17m range. no i don't really think he can

So we have two of the top 7 players in the league? No reason why we should not be contending ;) Only OKC other than the Rockets can boast of having two of their players in the top 7

You can tell by the silhouette that Howard is 7. Harden is top 5.
