guy is a true sniper great pick up as insurance policy in case Harden gets injured this guy is a catch and shoot guy so will open up the floor for Dwight
We are back at 18, remember even if you’re on the roster & go down to D-league you still count as one of the 15 (maximum) roster spots. 1 Omer Asik 2 Patrick Beverley 3 Ronnie Brewer 4 Aaron Brooks 5 Marcus Camby 6 Isaiah Canaan 7 Omri Casspi 8 Robert Covington 9 Francisco Garcia 10 James Harden 11 Dwight Howard 12 Terrence Jones 13 Jeremy Lin 14 Donatas Motiejunas 15 Chandler Parsons 16 Greg Smith 17 Reggie Williams 18 Troy Daniels
Seems like an easy guy to root for. I like his mentality. He would be a great running mate with Lin. Let Lin create shots with driving ability, and this guy seems very capable of knocking them down. Off the ball movement and catch-and-shoot look good also. RGV system is top notch.
Fits in line with Morey's philosophy of getting 1-dimensional players later in the draft and hope to develop all-around ability through early years development. If he can develop his defensive side, he'll be a rotation player down the line. If he can develop his ball handling side & defensive side, it keeps going up. Could amount to a 3 & D player. He's got 1 side down.

Troy Daniels will almost certainly be cut and not count against the 15 man roster. But since the Rockets signed him the Vipers will own his d-league rights (providing another NBA team does not sign him) after the Rockets cut him.
But if Rockets sign Daniels, he takes up a roster spot. If the Vipers sign him to a D-league contract, Morey doesn't need to give up a roster spot.
Let me say this... I am supremely pleased with how the Rockets are using RGV. I feel like Morey is doing the best he can to create a small farm system.
