2 games out of the division period.

Not sure why anyone would be predicting anything solidly outside of next week in the NFL. I think most of everyone thought the Colts would beat the Chargers and the Texans would beat the Rams...so 2 games out of the division.

The safe bet is that Keenum is overwhelmed, and the Texans get crushed, but I haven't been this excited about a football game in years, maybe even more than the playoffs the last two seasons. In the back of my mind, I never thought Schaub could get us a SB victory, but Keenum is an x factor. Until a QB is tested, it's impossible to predict just how bad, good, or mediocre they are going to be. So let's hope Keenum rises to the occasion, leads the Texans to victory, and has the entire sports' media praising him on Monday.

One thing is for sure, the KC lineman are going to be running a lot more than they expected. What a break for Case; he either makes a positive impression or he doesn't. I vote that he does. If he leads the team to victory, there is a good chance he is the future.

People are excited because its an unconventional change for the Texans. People are excited because the kid from the Univerisity of Houston, who went undrafted, is now starting for the Houston Texans. At the end of the day, people are excited about the unknown.

Sure, there is a bigger chance that he has a horrible game. Everything is definitely going against him. Hell, he might not even physically make it through the entire game. But with Schuab out and Yates not impressing, Keenum at the very least, gives you hope.

I don't think Kubes is setting him up for failure, I think he is searching for an answer.

Sometimes - necessity is the mother of invention.

    GO KEENUM !

I love that TD vs Miami.

Keenum delivered the ball knowing he was going to get smacked. Took the hit like a man.

If that were Schaub, he would have been in a fetal position as another wasted opportunity passed by.

The Texans have lost their last 8 of 12 games, and of those 8 losses 7 of them were blowouts

But hey we're only 2 games behind a great Colts team!

I think we're all rooting for Case. With a new, young QB there's always that excitement of unlocked potential.

But I still have to burst people's bubble when I point this out: Case's biggest enemy might not be on the other side. It might be the very guy who is running the team, not giving him a chance to showcase his ability, gameplanning with more dinks and dunks and threats of benchings if he decides to take chances with the deep ball. A gameplan with 45 runs and 15 passes.

In his heart of hearts, Kubiak is not a bad guy. He is what he is. A very conservative puny human being whose day to day interactions have been completely hijacked by a sense of fear, anxiety, and a desire for self-preservation. Out of this essence, what we may find is that he will not give Case Keenum a chance to succeed. He will sabotage his QB. He will sabotage this team. And he will find a ******* great excuse for doing it.

If we're gonna pull this one out, and I don't mean the game, I mean our franchise...if we're gonna pull our franchise out from this black cloud we've been stuck under, we're going to have to do it Varsity Blues style.

    2 games back.

The previous 12 games don't mean much when you just had a QB change and several other changes. The previous 6 games mean a lot more, the games from the previous season is a cool stat to throw on someone that want's to be pessimistic about it.

You could be optimistic about it and say they clearly had the talent to go toe to toe with Seattle and have been shooting themselves in the foot.

You can see it how you want.

But the fact is they are two games back. Better to take the NFL as a week by week thing. As great as the Colts are they have lost the two games against teams they weren't supposed to lose to.

that first pass he threw in that video, if he can make those types of passes in the nfl he should be fine. im not even concerned about his deep ball, its those 10-20 yard passes between defenders imo that indicate a qbs arm strength more so than the ability to chunk it 50 yards down field..

well, denver is 6-0 and yes their offense is good but have played against almost the same teams: giants, raiders, cowboys, jaguars, eagles the only different team is baltimore and not the titans.

Rooting for him all the way but the truth is Kubiak is not going to open the flood gates and stop being conservative. If anything, he is going to be even more conservative with Case.

Kubiak understands that this is a huge game in terms of the direction of the season. If he wanted to play it conservatively, he would have started Yates. He went with Keenum for a reason.
