Yes Chiefs are 6-0. Yes their defense is good.

    But...

They've beaten and played against the eagles, jaguars, titans, cowboys, giants and raiders... I don't think anyone thinks those teams are great...

I would say Chiefs are average at most and just have gotten lucky with their playing.

 Someone who is very knowledgeable in football, a lot more than me, said:

"Look at it this way: the CHIEFS don't have ANY FILM whatsoever on Keenum running the Texans. They won't know how to defend against him and they will have no answer for the surprise of a mobile and accurate passer that he is. They expected Schaub or Yates, but with Keenum they will be all 'WTF?' and won't know how to defend him but until the 3rd quarter, and it will be too late. "

I like that. I hadn't thought about that. NEW.

6 games into the freaking season. That translates to 5 games out at the end of the season and nothing I have seen so far indicates the arrow is pointed up.

You can keep saying that all you want but no way we sweep the Colts and take this division, and NO WAY we make the playoffs without winning the division.

In total agreement. Here's hoping Keenum overcomes the insurmountable odds against him...

I don't completely agree but yeah, I do agree Chiefs are getting lucky and just aren't that good.

Go Coogs, I hope Keenan and the Texans succeed, but he has his work cut out for him for his first game.

If Keenum can throw the ball to 80 and 10 and hand the ball to 23 he'll be fine. People are afraid of the unknown, but it's football and he's been playing it all his life. Besides Kansas City ain't much bigger than his hometown of Abilene and has the same climate. Lol. He'll be comfortable.

Case Keenum negatives in his scouting report

Small in stature. Is not built to withstand the physical toll of the pro game, and durability is a concern. Production is inflated by mid-major competition and a simple, shotgun-based spread offense with predetermined reads and safe, controlled passes. Limited arm strength. Pushes the ball with a low release. Forces some throws into coverage. Limited upside.

Tom Brady negatives in his scouting report

Negatives: Poor build. Very skinny and narrow. Ended the '99 season weighing 195 pounds and still looks like a rail at 211. Looks a little frail and lacks great physical stature and strength. Can get pushed down more easily than you'd like. Lacks mobility and ability to avoid the rush. Lacks a really strong arm. Can't drive the ball down the field and does not throw a really tight spiral. System-type player who can get exposed if he must ad-lib and do things on his own.

Dre Brees negatives in his scouting report

Negatives... Plays in the spread offense, taking the bulk of his snaps from the shotgun... Tends to side-arm his passes going deep...Lacks accuracy and touch on his long throws... Seems more comfortable in the short/intermediate passing attack...Does not possess the ideal height you look for in a pro passer, though his ability to scan the field helps him compensate in this area...Will improvise and run when the passing lanes are clogged, but tends to run through defenders rather than trying to avoid them to prevent unnecessary punishment.

Some eerie similarities. I want to be very very clear. In no way am I comparing case to either brees or brady. However, I posted this to make a point. You never know until they get out on the field how things will pan out.

Odds are against Case being the long term solution for us at QB. Hell odds are against him ever being a good QB for anyone. However, there is still a shot and only time will tell.

Correct, He will be running Kubiaks offense. An offense that fits Case better than it ever fit Schaub.

All those play action bootlegs have Case Keenum's name all over them.
