impressed how he goes after rebounds.....but his D has a lot of holes....and entry post passing terrible......i'd would think that either asik will be in the starting lineup or whatever morey gets back in a trade for him will be there

I'm not sold on Casspi yet. It's not just this one game, as everyone has clunkers now and again. It's the way he plays that makes me think that he is about getting his and has shot a bit too much at any opportunity though we have much better people to shoot than Casspi. I like Garcia better personally in that role.

So much for Casspi being our "best PF."

That is a strange comment. Not sure if you saw the game, but yeah, he was/is our "best PF", by a large margin. I mean, did you see Dmo/Jones last night? They were completely lost. Besides missing a few shots Casspi played well. I guess he is only shooting 60% as a Rocket now.

    QUOTES

    ROCKETS HEAD COACH KEVIN MCHALE

(On Omri Casspi's play) “He's played almost exclusively at the four (position) for them the entire preseason. He didn't have the best rhythm in the world but again, he had six rebounds and five assists. He makes nice plays. I like what I see. He's been good. With all those guys, it is going to be finding their rhythm. He plays better with different people. You kind of have to see who he's playing with. I think him playing with Dwight (Howard) or Omer (Asik) will help him because those guys really rebound. He's been rebounding really well for us. It will kind of be an ongoing thing but I do like what I see out of Omri. He played very good for us. He just kept on battling away tonight. He tied Aaron (Brooks) for the most assists on the team. I like that.”

I think Casspi did good even though he shot the ball in dismal percentages, I think it was sort of a test which Casspi pretty much passed, I think we all wanted to deduce if Casspi is able to contribute on the floor for the team in other aspects of the game even though he shoots poorly on the same particular night, I think we got an answer, I know I can't base myself relying on one game but Casspi showed he can distribute the ball really well and grab some boards, I mean he didn't drown in frustration and started to do nonsense or do nothing other than scoring, he played well, he even tied with brooks for most assists in the game if I'm not mistaken, and Casspi isn't an adept passer or at least he didn't show-cased it in his last four years in the league.

I think Parsons, maybe Asik or Howard, would be our best PF for now. Do you really believe Casspi is a 60% shooter, or do you just pick and choose some convenient stats for your point?

Look, Casspi has been great and I hope he will be an important rotation player for us. But declaring him as our "best PF" based on a few preseason games is like declaring Marcus Morris would be our future superstar before the dude had played much.

If you can dismiss him just because he missed a few shots(that's what I was replying to), then I guess I can claim he is a 60% shooter.

Saying Marcus Morris has a chance to be an allstar if he can transition to SF(never said superstar) or saying Covington could be a starter are all long shots to begin with.

Saying Casspi is better than Dmo/Jones, something I mentioned long before preseason even began, is not a long shot. It should be obvious to anyone with functional eyes.
