    Throws for 500 yards and 7 TD's?

If we win this game.... this is a BIG game changer. Very, very big.

I am very ecstatic to see what Keenum brings to the table.

Do you think he'll play the entire game?! I hope he doesn't just get to play a quarter...

I could have told you Schaub was out as far back as two days ago and that Keenum would start, as of yesterday. I think they knew they had to be ready for him anyway. Gives Texans more time as well.

Kevin Kolb had better combine numbers and more nfl prototypical size which appeals more to GMs. As for stats, Kolb still put up real good numbers despite being in a different system that limited his numbers as compared to Keenum's under Sumlin. Also keep in mine, Kolb was in a much weaker qb draft class. Either way, I'm a big Keenum fan and hoping for the best.

I would expect that there will be somewhere in the area of 45-50 carries for Foster and Tate...regardless of the score.

Why would he only play a quarter?

I just have to say that this is a huge spark for the team. And something tells me that Kubiak mightve gotten some Front office pressure.

Regardless of what happens, at least the entire city will know what we have in Case, Schaub, and Yates. This can help this team move in a certain direction. Either the Texans recover and move forward, or this year's Texans will totally crash and burn.

    if the Texans win...
This city of Houston and his team/players will crucify Kubiak if he ever decided to return to Schaub. If Keenum does the unthinkable, he completely deserves to run this team for the Indy game at Reliant. Keenum is a real competitor, and he wont forget that he has had so much adversity, detractors and people that just didnt give him a chance. If we thought last week was Schaub's last chance at starting here in Houston, Keenum is playing for his football career. He doesnt need to be spectacular; he just needs to make timely throws and just let the game come to him.

If the Texans lose bc of Keenum...
This city will have a real problem. Schaub doesnt work, and TJ isnt the answer. With that being said, Kubiak's job will be on the line for the rest of the season. And this team will draft a QB in the first Round. May most likely have Wade Philips take over the role as HCoach, and hire a OC... The Texans will also be faced with the reality of selling their top assets. As much as it will hurt, Johnson deserves to be on a team that competes...I would seriously trade him to NE(ofcourse after the Patriots game...;) . I would also consider trading JJoseph, and would keep Arian Foster. Then the Texans have to build a superior offensive(with some of last year's picks) and via the draft this upcoming year. Start looking asap for a big TE via draft(so that if Owen Daniels does return, you can trade him and a pick to move up in the draft(ie. a high 2nd round pick). And then we need to get a massive NTackle, and a rangy ILB.

I would love for the wonderful news, but we really cant keep getting our hopes crushed. What looked like a promising NFL season, has turned into a 2-4 nightmare...

I can see him throwing a pick-6.......then chasing down the DB and stripping the ball from him before he scores....then signaling the defense to get back to the sideline because it's first down Texans.

I mean, Kubes has been setting Keenum up for failure all season.

I'm just wondering if he'll just "start" him. And then let Yates play the rest of the game.

I'm still confused why he's starting for us. He must have kicked ass in practice to make Yates's "experience" a non factor for everyone.

I just hope Keenum gets to play enough to feel comfortable on Sunday to ride us a win. I'm so excited it's finally happening, but feeling that it's too good to be true as well.

Does anyone get what I'm saying?

Not sure why Kubiak would set him up for failure.

His job rides on this move.

Now that's a way to move the ball and deflate an opposing defense.

Played with both, my take on them: Kolb has more of an nfl body at 6'3 and more athletic. But easily rattled and tends to loft balls, bigger arm, less accurate. Had played in same system 8 years with briles before being drafted.

Keenum is undersized at a lil over 6 ft. Deceptively athletic, great pocket awareness, above avg arm but very accurate. Has solid accuracy deep and better mechanics and footwork than kolb. Has the it factor that you hear the texans describe, confident, poised. Injuries would be my only question given oline can't protect as well, but he won't sit in the pocket or lay down as we're accustomed to seeing.

Plus you have a UH alum in Jim Nantz calling the game (in a sea of red). Seven years ago, an udfa by the name of Romo made it big and seven years before him it was UDFA Kurt Warner. Who wears number 7? ;)

I agree. KC gives up 5.1 yards per carry. Shove it down their throat. That'll only help Case.

I'm actually pretty optimistic about this game.

Kubiak will run the ball 100 a times and Keenum will be reserved to check downs. If anyone thinks he is going to all of a sudden become aggressive and we will see the College version of Keenum is fooling themselves.

The Cheifs aren't that good. Theyve beaten cowboys, eagles, jaguars, giants, raiders, titans.

I think they've just gotten lucky.

Nah, kubiak will probably start the game with a bootleg. Chiefs have an injured secondary. Will mostly run, but they will take shots.

Pretty crappy video but it is all I could find. Keenum fumbles in the first qtr for a Rice TD. Then comes back to throw 9 TD's in the game. Keep in mind it is raining for a good part in this game.
